Traditionally, government in Pakistan is either with the landed aristocracy, or it's with the Army who still rely on the landed aristocracy to manage society and run affairs at the micro-level.

IK is neither, he is a bourgeois figure who gets his support from the urban areas where educated people are tired of the old feudal lords controlling legal and financial institutions. This has upset the balance of power. Historically, the military had to rely on guys like Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Pir Pagara who opposed the Sharifs and Bhuttos but still represented the same socioeconomic class. Then IK came and united a viable coalition of urban businessmen, educated technocrats, and religious leaders who have for the first time provided the Army with a king's party that is not also a feudal interest lobby.

This takes away the PDM parties' biggest historical advantage, their monopoly of government. The military may be very competent soldiers but they know, and history has shown, they have zero knack for governing. Every time they get into power the army suffers from corruption and weakening of their core function. So they reluctantly decide to leave civic affairs to the civilians. But this time, they have a new party to rely on and coordinate with, and the old groups are upset because they have been upended by this new relationship between PTI and Army. Hence why this relationship is ostensibly the basis of their protest.

These old mix achar have all been used by establishment, they are in pain because they are replaced. We are still ruled by the elites and the rulling class, along with army, difference is its just imran khan PM. True change only comes if society changes.

Sir, slow and steady wins the race. Nobody thought 10 years ago these elites will be thrown away from power let alone prosecution. Good times are ahead of Pakistan. Have faith in Allah.

Army is not in the elite group, they are sons of poor and middle class people that get selected as lieutenants and then spend there entire lives progressing through the ranks on pure meritt. A generals son does not become a general.

Army in itself is a ruling group. Yes there is no doubt about merit in army, due to which army keeps power. As an institution it is ruling and controlling things today and even in past.

Yes they do, but they only meddle in foriegn policy and national security, nothing else and only have a problem with political govts when buffons like Nawaz start becoming puppets of foreign powers. No president in the US takes even a step without go ahead of the security establishment in matters concerning national secruity and foriegn policy. This is how it should be, two bit politicians can never be adequately equipped to understand complex geopolitics and security paradigm, specially for a country like Pakistan which has countless threat parameters from diverse hemispheres.

Someone had to control. Babus and politicians had been busy looting the country instead. IK working towards fixing that and being supported by the Army is the right thing.

Exactly, when responsible leaders present themselves like IK, Army wont be able to meddle even if they wanted to, nor would they want or need to.

Yes and they can bring any issue under the umbrella of "national security". Nawaz is a cancer but guess who brought this cancer upon us in the first place??

Yes, they brought Nawaz but at the time an even bigger cancer was plauging Pakistan, a cancer names bhuttos. The only thing we can accuse the establishment of is bieng short sighted, they think of solutions in short term n that harms Pakistan in the long run, for example Musharaf revived MQM to counter PPP, good in the short term but it bit us in the *** in the long term. The thing is that cirumstances have been such that since the 70's Pakistan has been under existensial threats n hence they had to interfere. Imran Khan govt seems a step in the right direction, for the first time they have brought in an honest man that even they cannot control, let him remain in power for 10 yrs n u will see a very diff Pakistan.

There is still A LOT of filtering that needs to be done within PTI and Pakistan state. Pakistan state does too many compromises with too many snakes within it's own institution s and in the civil spheres as well.

If true IK is fast becoming the Muktedir with the controls over the Deep Nation plus the Deep State! Reis Erdo’an reached that position after 15 years in the Iktidar surviving numerous coup and assassination attempts by the worst of the Satanic Imperialists by HIS PERMISSION! Verily HE is the BEST OF THE PROTECTORS...

And what makes uthink this is not another short term solution to counter nooras and would bite us in the long term?
Nawaz was brought to counter bhutto, guess what, who brought bhutto in the first place? Lolz it seems our establishment keeps bring one evil and then another evil to stop the previous one. This strategy is flawed and we can see how it destroyed and damaged Pakistan. They just never let genuine leadership evolve, they bring one puppet after another, they also make sure the puppet is corrupt so can be controlled. And then how nicely all the blame is put on the political class, without ppl thinking that its the same establishment that have created, nurtured and propelled this political class.
