I dont care if you claim ancestry of arab, mughal/mongol, persian or african..you need to convince them to consider you part of arab/persian/irani/mongol race. I am janjua rajpout who married with malik awaan and it really pissed me off when most relatives in my village opposed me that why i married outside with non raja and all this shit. I told them are u still hindu who cannot marry outside your caste..they have no answer but this plain arrogance and so called pride in caste is the reason they are not getting progress as cannot think beyond caste..those whom they were calling mochi/masali/nahee gave education to their children and now they are serving at higher position while these raja maharje sitting idle and have nothing with them but just this so called pride

Sallam brother but Bihari Muslim have more Middle Eastern influence. My name is Salman Hussain Mirza and I am Mughal. Here is my relative Meraj Khalid Noor

I can understand what you are. Bihari ranveersena.

A Bihari Muslim have more middle eastern influence because they were always under Bengal Sultans.

And Bengal being the last frontier of muslim conquerors they must had less soldiers to protect their boundary and increase their boundary even more like you see today BSF and Rangers are deployed.

.
This is so stupid, even if there were intermarriages with a handful of foreigners, it mixed up with local blood, Biharis are Biharis , Bengalis are Bengalis, are u guys saying before invaders came , Bihar was empty, no sir those people were there since thousands of years, please end this dumb debate & concentrate on the topic of this thread !!!

Everyone in the subcontinent, whether Indian, Pakistani or BD or Sri Lankan...they are all more alike than different. Of course there is diversity but ancestry is all mostly from the fountainhead of Hindu civilization. That is why you find so many Bengali Muslims in India (not just BD) and so many Punjabi Muslims in India (not just Pakistan) or Tamilian Muslims in Indian (and Sri Lanka).

It suits the business religious and political bigots to claim and emphasize the differences more than the common factors!

.
So you are Rajput... What do Pakistani Rajput call themselves? In Bihar Muslim Rajput call themselves Khanzada because Hindu Rajputs won't let them say Rajput
there are different clans in rajpout and people use different title like Janjua, Raja, minhas, bhatti, sial, khokhar etc and who care what Hinuds think of us when i dont even care what my own relatives think about this caste. Its only insecure who need this certificate of approval from others.. .for me all these castes/tribes are just for identity purpose and it dont make you a superior or inferior. I am against this caste if it make you arrogant and racist and Islam is against it for this particular reason that it create this sense of superiority in people and they start looking down on others who dont belong to their own tribes. Remember the last words of Prophet (PBUH) that "an Arab is not better than a non-Arab and a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a red (i.e. white tinged with red) person is not better than a black person and a black person is not better than a red person except in piety "

Speak for yourself. The term "indian sub continent" and "desi" are just ignorant constructs to lump different races together under one definition that in reality does not exist. Cannot speak on behalf of bengalis or Sri-Lankans, but Pakistanis differ massively to indians. Apart from some languages there is no similarity or connection between the 2. There is far too many differences. Going back in time and talking about ancient ancestry is pointless. If all humans go back far enough then all humans are East African blacks.

actually they are constructs used by your own fellow Pakistanis, many a times to not have to advertise that they are Pakistanis. you may not like it but by your own country-men's admission and actions, that's what you all are made of...well most of you.

Well ofcourse you go back far enough, everything was just emptiness ...question of where you draw the line in time depends upon the subject. For political subjects, the line is drawn when the country came into existence - which is 1947 for Pakistan. But for ethnicity and race purposes, that line goes much farther back - that is why Indians, Pakistanis, BD's and Srilankans share so many regionally common genes. If the subject in hand is religion, then some muslims try to draw that line to eternity and others to around the 6th century when islam was started. The fallacy of the 'eternity' argument is that nobody heard of Quran before the 6th century and as every muslim knows, there is no Islam without Quron. And finally if the context is language, then you have to look at when Punjabi and Bengali (for example) separated from Indian Punjabi and Bengali - guess what? they haven't yet!

Yes Pak is multi ethnic, but all ethnicities have lived on banks of River Indus since centuries, just like Nile in Egypt. Pakistan the word is an acronym Punjab, Afghania (kpk old name), Kashmir , Sindh, balochisTAN ..1st time used in 1933 by Ch Rehmat Ali , Bengal was never in it. Pakistan resolution 1940 called for more than one state of muslims , but British never gave the option. Thus the state with two wings 2000 km apart was formed, separated by hostile territory. If we go this much distance in the west, we would reach Iraq & jordan, can pak & Iraq be one country, hell no !!!
Bengalis are absolutely different, with an ancient language & rich culture, with even their own calender. Indian Punjabis, Afghan Pushtuns, Iranian Baloch are simmilar to people of Pakistan....Bengalis are as different as arabs or berbers are for Pakistanis !!!

So why was Bengal not included in the Pakistan acronym?

Why you quoted my post?
You are asking others to speak for themselves while you are speaking for everyone

I was just speaking about myself and you need to do the same and you are free to claim to be teh part of any middle eastern or central asian race if it make you feel better.

I wasn't referring to you or your post. Tried to take another quote but my iphone is playing up and it took your's. Sorry about that.

Didn't realize you guys had a Middle Eastern influence. Thought you lot were total indians.

Then you don't know about the Bengal Sultanate which included Arabs, Habshis and Turks and the native Bengalis as rulers and spanned all the way to Arakan (present day Rakhine state, Burma).

Which sect most Bangladeshi peopel follow? Braelvi or deobundi? I have been in there mosques and they seem to be like braelvi

Pure blood of conquers

This shit indian caste system really gave so much inferiority complex to many people that they started to claim something which they were not just to get approval/acceptance form others and to be part of elite.ruling class

We have our own Sufi order called Fultali, one of the 360 awliyah, I forgot his name, probably Shah Qahafan, it derived from. Our main Aaliyah shahjalal ra was of the naqshbandi order.

Many Bengalis dont identify with any kind of tariqah however they are closet Sufis but don't realise it due to lack of education.

Most of us are deobandi/tablighi if you look at the largest gathering after hajj, Bishwa Ijtema.

In the U.K. Bro I don't know one Bengali Shia. In my village there are a couple of Shias and my dad used to wonder why they never went jummah. Most of them are probably in the capital.

Funny though many of the Muslim rulers of Bengal were Shia(Mir Jafar) including the Dhaka nawab family who were Kashmiri Shias

Allama Iqbal in his poetry wrote about treachery of MIr jafar in these words,

"Jaffar az Bengal, Sadiq az Deccan; nang-e-deen, nang-e-millat, nang-e-watan" which mean "Jafar(Mir) of Bengal and Sadiq(Mir) of Deccan are a disgrace to the faith, a disgrace to Nation, a disgrace to Country. British with the help of Jafar and Mir Sadiq were able to take control of Bengal and kingdom of Mysore (Sultanat-e-Khuda daad)."

Jafars great-grandson Iskandar Mirza who had joined Army in 1920 in Military Police, was appointed and served as the first President of Pakistan

Most punjabis who claim these ancestry are low caste converts or landless peasants kammi type people you find in cities. Couple of weeks ago I meet someone with Khan surname, he and his whole family looked like christians. Only Butts who are of kashmiri decent and few Kasuri pathans are likely what they say but their population is minimum. Rest are local converts and punjabis who look psudo middle eastern are just high caste converts. People say Raheel Sharif look like Sadam Hussain but he is rajput and they don't claim any foreign ancestry.
I was talking about Niazis,Gillanis,Chugtais,Butts e.t.c who really look the part too
Yes some really fake ancestory too like who could believe Babar Ghauri is Pathan

Its funny how everyone coming up here with i am more white, taller and good looking than others but truth is there is no one fixed colour, height in one race and there are all sort of white, brown, taller shorter people even within one ethnicity..look at ANP leaders of KPK bashir balor and others pashto actors/singers and tell me how they look more fair/taller than say atif aslam, shaan, hamyoon saeed, faisal qureshi, javed shiekhs etc . Go to surrounding areas of khauta and point out how kashmiri are any different than pothwari living side by side..some kashmiri look pale shorter and weaker compare to some pothwari speaker so such discussion is total non sense to begin with
I was talking about kashmiris of vale region (butts, lones, dars, sheikh, khwaja, mian, mirs, waiz e.t.c)

Gillanis are fake syed converts, chugtai are lohars. Non of them look remotely mughal or persian/iraqi. Niazis are real and so are butts. But not all butts though, some kashmiri butt told me many people claiming to be butts actually belong to non-kashmiri clans. I guess those in Lahore where there is sizeable butt population, some have adopted this identity despite not being from any kashmiri clan.
