How China developed J-11B fighter jet and WZ-10 attack helicopter

They don't need to hire Kamov to make a design.

but they literally did, lol. they literally hired Kamov to design that helicopter as was confirmed by Sergei Mikheyev, General Designer of the Kamov Design Bureau. What next will you say that the Chinese Aircraft carrier is not a Soviet design copy bought from Ukraine? lol

Z-10 is Chinese design. The Kamov guy was merely joking. Liaoning carrier is a Russian design. Shandong carrier is vastly different. The third one been built is more like American carriers than Russian carriers.

Z-10 is Chinese design

about as chinese as the Eiffel tower in Shanghai. lol

The program was promoted as a civilian project, and was able to secure significant Western technical assistance, such as from Eurocopter (rotor installation design consultancy), Pratt & Whitney Canada (PT6C turboshaft engine) and Agusta Westland (transmission).

Kamov design bureau did the design, the engine tech was provided illegally by prat and whitney, which they pled guilty to in US courts.

the aircraft carrier is a Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier.

Z-10 does not use Canadian engine. It uses Chinese WZ-9 engine.

WZ-9 engine

where do you think the tech for that came from you silly man. Prat and Whitney literally pled guilty in US courts for the illegal exports without a U.S. export license. They said it was for civilian purposes, but they knew china would be using the engine tech for military purposes.

Yet Turkey can't make the same engine. It seems Chinese developed it on its own, no?

The Kamov design bureau was contracted to perform the development work under a secret contract. Kamov worked with the Chinese to establish base specifications, such as weight, speed and payload capacity after which they had full freedom to design the helicopter. Kamov designed, tested and verified the helicopter design, after which it was provided to the Chinese team.
:omghaha: :omghaha::omghaha:

A SECRET contract!

But known to you for reasons best known to yourself!

Do tell us your ability to worm yourself into confidence of SECRET contracts.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

China already have access to Klimov engines used in China's Mi-17 helicopters which are 2,400 hp. China did not need to import any Canadian engine.

the f-86 isn't a copy only thing similar between them is that both are jet powered.

for your education.... American took a lot of tech cues from Me 262.. there is plenty of material on this..

"North American Aviation’s Larry Green studied the German language in night school so he could use Me 262 manuals as part of the design team developing the F-86 Sabre jet that fought in Korea."

:coffee: :sarcastic: :sarcastic:
Russia have great aircraft designers, aeronautical engineers. Cooperation between these two comprehensive strategic allies are neither unusual nor something to politicize about.

It is well documented that Yakovlev submitted their design for Hongdu L-15 jet trainer but they also admitted that was as far as they went as per contract.
The entire R&D and development is done by Hongdu themselves.

So likewise Z-10 design may be done by Kamov but the R&D and development has absolutely nothing to do with them.

There is no similarities between Z-10 or Kamov-50 attack helicopter. Nor is there any attack helicopter that is similar to Z-10 in Russian Military.

Speculations are not facts. Many of us prefer to see more evidences of Russian involvement apart from creating pretty helicopter designs.

How china paid Kamov to design a helicopter and reverse engineered the su-27, and imported engines to fit onto the copied design from Russia.

And yet they perform better than the original ones. It takes talent and hard work to reverse engineer. Unlike stupid indians who cant make anything even with help.

its the head of Kamov confirming that matter, not me. lol

Pratt and Whitney is an American company.
Then what is the engine for Z-20? Maybe you want to claim its US engine again?

Z-20 engine is based on the experience of WZ-9 turboshaft used on Z-10 gunship and evolved into a more powerful engine.

Kamov design bureau did the design, the engine tech was provided illegally by prat and whitney, which they pled guilty to in US courts.
Kamov involvement as design of Z-10 is very limited. They are just like consultant paid of a concept. Even they admit, they dont involved in a the development of the gunship. Giving a design is very simple task but implement the final design into an real operational gunship takes up 99% of the work which are all handled by Chinese themselves.

Typical American tactics to smear China. All this can be staged. Just to make China look bad. They will claim this particular is guilty of espionage or whatever, give him a guilty and make China look bad.
