We should play it as the Iranians always do. Pakistan should act both activly and passively to that kind of situation but with different approach. We should actively welcome the inbound refugees , of course as we did with the Afghans. However, we will remain neutral though our air space will remain open for NATO. Iran helped destroying our foothold in Afghanistan during the invasion by passively assisting NATO and Northern Alliance.
Domestic Iranian assests should be warned of severe consequences at the same time, should they try to undermine Pakistani national interests.
When you add up all the threats pronounced by the Iranians so far against the West, the west is unlikely to ever normalize relationship with Iran. Gaddafi and Saddam were destroyed for making far less threats. After all, Assad regime never directly threatened the West and that is why it is still there. West do not tolerate such degree of arrogance as history showed again and again.

An attack on Iran would be wholly disastrous for Pakistan. The consequences could be dire as the country will experience a war that will make Afghanistan and Iraq seem like a cakewalk. Insurgency in a country of 70 million people, spread over 1 million sq.kms will bring untold destruction and refugees, a rise in militancy, ethnoffscist movements and countless other vices. The examples of Libya, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan should serve as a cautionary tale.

Why on earth would you advocate for innocents dying in an imperialistic invasion? Was Iraq not enough? Were the horrors of Afghanistan not satisfactory?

very valid point.
for Americans and their Middle eastern Allies. Pakistan is an inconvenience and a hurdle. The Indian feeling towards Pakistan and American/ Israel and GCC warmth towards India only makes our position bad even without bringing our Chinese relationship into the mix.

there is nothing to gain. whatever will be promised will never arrive. but as you correctly pointed out. we will suffer due to instability , uprising in Balochistan based militancy and another open gift to India to exploit the situation against us.
even if we offer our bases and support to the Americans and Israelis to launch their attacks on iran we will get same as we got on our support for American invasion of Afghanistan. blames, terror, accusations, drone attacks , attacks on our posts. worse of all our CPEC dream will go up in smoke.
Siding with Americans and its allies is like lamb siding with the Wolves.

1) Iran is actively working against Pakistani interests in Afghanistan.

2) Iran is single-handedly responsible weakening muslim countries in middle east by playing one muslim country against other. Recent conflicts in Yemen, Syria & Iraq are backed by Iran & did not help ummah much.

3) Uzair Baloch has confessed that Iran sought out Intelligence about naval installation in Karachi. Obviously Iran was collecting intelligence as a proxy of India. There are reports that Iran wants to renew ties with India again. Iranian defense minister visited Aero India earlier in 2021 to rejuvinate the old ties.

4) Iran is actively sabotaging Pakistan's interest in Baluchistan . Iran linked elements killed FC personal in Baluchistan in 2019 after which our PM visited Iran emergently to see why they are killing us?

5) ) Iran was Partner of India in a front against Pakistan. Iran Opened Chahbahar port to give India an alternate route to Afghanistan.

6) Iran is the main reason, which push GCC countries in Israel's court.

7) When we needed foreign exchange in 2018, it was GCC countries who loaned us money, not Iran. Most of our $24 billion foreign exchange remittances come from GCC countries , not Iran. So why support Iran against GCC block?

So can some one plz explain why we 'must not allow anyone to attack iran.

And there is another logic which is beyond my understanding: Why Pakistan would only be attacked only after Iran is neutralized. Who has made this rule that Pakistan cannot be attacked first, before Iran?
