News Night with Talat-Pakistan-China Relations

Uploaded by dawnnewspakistan

We would like to know what the secret behind China's success is. Which theory inspired them? We have friendly relations but we do not have any strategic relations? Why we only wish our country progress like China why not follow them?
GUESTS:
Masood Khan

For those who do not understand Urdu, this show is saying only good things about China and about China's success and how Pakistan can learn from China's success and follow China. And can China's economic model be used in Pakistan.

Pakistan has an enormous amount of potential, that is just waiting to be released.

All you need, is some good leadership.

People often forget, that Pakistan has the 6th largest population in the world, a strong and young population. Which is the exact same factor that fueled China's economic boom.

Pakistan should not become CHina. Pakistan should be the best it can be, thats what Pakistan can learn from China. China did not aim to follow the US example, instead it set its own example.

China is communist it has a central government with all out power.

Pakistan is an democratic Islamic government, full of corruption we have our own issues to solve.

For Pakistan to move further along on the economic stage, just don't do what the big banks in the US did and you'll be fine my friend.:pakistan::yahoo:

Not the political model, but the economic model.

Don't take this wrong way, but in all honesty these are some points that need to be addressed if Pakistan would to have an Economic Boom in their economy. First of all elect a democratic government, as far as I know your government is one of the most corrupted governments in the world. Another point is why do you depend so much on aid? Gain trade agreements with other nations, or just become more independent Industrialized nation from your own resources. Another main point is why do you spend so much on military deterrent, I've read that Pakistani government spends more money on their Armed Forces than you do in Social, Health, and your Education fields. Yes, as you all say we have to balance out an adequate military force with the India. But since both countries have Nuclear Weapons, and India is already economic powerhouse in the region, and has higher aspirations to become even greater. Do you honestly think, they want any sort of military confrontation? As probably any person would see it they have interests such as any other country that they want to protect it. Finally I would say, don't elect any Radical Islamic Fundamentalists into power or let them gain any foothold within the country, separate Church and State like most Western Countries do.

Bro . u absolutely right, it is a tradegy that our leadership has been hijacked by the Western govts. We dont know how to get rid of them. Our public dont have power or resources to over throw them. If in case we try to do that then secretly the CIA/MI6 assaisns comes in and kill our young leaders or again hijack the new ones:woot::cheesy:. This has been going on for the last 60 years. There is so much secret trade is going on within our country that pplz can't even believe it. The only who r the victims , are the poor public only. You can alwayz see IMF will be running over and controlling our budget, raising taxes and everything. Our top leaders are getting forced to take loans from IMF or world Bank and follow their directions.:agree: Even the public dont wanna take loans but the leaders are secretly forced to take it. There is really an evil game going on within our country...by the west.

We are talking about ECONOMIC models and DEVELOPMENT here not political models.

Pakistan was formed in 1947 and People's Republic of China was formed in 1949.

You dont need me to tell you where Pakistan stands today in the world and where People's Republic of China stands today in the world.

Pakistan needs to learn how to build its country fast and effectively like People's Republic of China did.

Pakistanis also want clean drinking water, better health care, better education, good quality of life, better transportation, better urban cities, electricity 24 hours a day, better sanitation, 21st century buildings, 21st century technology for Pakistan. Pakistanis also want Pakistan to prosper and be in the direction of a developed nation.

So lets learn from our friendly neighbour to our North-East.

An absolutely great question -- what does it say about a section of society and where it sees Pakistan and where it hopes it can get Pakistan to get going -- but, friends, how did China get where it is??

Recall the Cultural Revolution and Great Leap forward and the Gang of Four -- in Pakistan we have the equivalent of these movements, these ideologies and these kinds of players --- How did China deal with The Cultural Revolution and the Gang of Four???? How did China deal with ideology and ideologues - Consider "what does it matter what the color of the cat so long as it catches mice"??

China went from a cultural radicalism, from a attachment to ideology, to pragmatism and stability, in other words, the State recognized and shepherded a reorientation, a prioritization in the order of importance of values ("Glorious to become rich")

For Pakistan to be more like China, then, well, we all know which radical ideology would have to be abandoned ? We all know which kinds of political players will have to be discarded, and of course, we all know the re-prioritization of values that will have to be shepherded--- Are Pakistanis ready to do that?? Even if the political will existed to see that change, most Pakistanis will be unwilling to make the changes that this requires, to most Pakistanis, the idea that Dignity is earned is an alien idea...

For instance, Pakistanis work around the world and do well everywhere, except of course in Pakistan -- Why is that? How is that? It is that way because the cultural values ascendant in Pakistan, do not attach dignity to work, in the same way that all Pakistanis are not equal before the law.

So really there is a simple answer as to why Pakistan cannot be like China - and that is that Pakistan does not value the culture, the values and ideas that propel China.

We must liquidate this friendship into vibrant economic growth , a powerful Pakistan is in everyone's favor.

i think pakistan needs total change in education system, which is consist of madarsa where small children sexually harrass or teached extremism and motivated, mislead for terrorism, this madarsa's should shut down and replaced with some scientific and technological schools...

Trolls.....

We were already there few years ago, when we were doing joint ventures and sustaining equal growth rate.
Simple, bing Musharraf back but indian network in Pakistan will never allow that.

Trolls.....

u r blind supporter of musharraf.......

They do not work well here in Pakistan because they dont have fear of being sacked if neglected their duties, because if they sacked over such behviour NGOs will come running crying foul, because they know how to use "discrimination card"

because they know they dont have worry for the pay even if they dont work.

Because they get jobs at sifarish and not merit and so on
