how Arjun Mk 2 can be turned into FMBT?

I think india should concentrate on improving arjun mark2 & mass producing it rather than thinking of fmbt.I personally beleive if they manage to reduce arjun mark 2's weight ,it would be really good tank.
"Arjun tank hull and turret has been modified to achieve the target weight of about 55 tons from 59-64 tons. Elbit is helping to enhance its firepower and battlefield survivability and IMI is helping to augment Arjun Mk II’s mobility, redesign its turret and hull and improve its production-line processes" told Rahul Bedi, Jane's correspondent

By the way FMBT is supposed to be just an evolution of capabilities of Arjun MK2 , with 50 Tons of weight instead of 60 Tons of Arjun MK2
This 5o ton thing is not possible without compromising the whole design and safety of arjun. Only Japan is successful in this. Forget about all this IA has already told DRDO that be realistic they don't really care about weight unless it effect ground pressure. power to weight ratio and transportation.

Although we encourage drdo to go for it because otherwise i don't see any much changes FMBT, it will just be like Arjun mk2 which already housing some of the best techs in the world.

4. Unmanned turret will be at least 40% smaller than regular turret.

5. hence it will weigh 40% less. ( 15 tons)
The math is wrong 40% smaller doesnot mean 40% smaller. Also nobody will agree to make a smaller turret because what will happen to the security of the tank. People are even talking to increae the size of the present tank mainly on the sides because its less safer their. Lets see some pic of arjun mk2's new turret will be released soon and we all can see how cool is this turret but a according to some unconfirmed reports its more likely to be like leopard.

Oh I'm back. I'm suprised my account still works.

Well heres the deal with India's armoured needs.
Because of budget the Indian army can not field a completely Arjun arsenal. They the Arjun cost around 5 mill a pop. Thats high considering the Indian made T90 is 3 mill or less. The reason in the price difference is not just quality but the fact that the T-72 lines are converted to t90 lines hence the cost savings. The arjun line required a completely new fatory and process. This is why it took so long to produce and induct the tank. The design is fine. The electronics and issues buy solutions were either found or bought.
I would also like to point out that the T-90 has more Indian parts than the Arjun. Starting from the steel of course. Eventually the T-90 and Arjun will share the same electronics. I dont critcize the T-90 buy. It has proved to ne cheaper than upgrading the T72s in the long run.

Arjun mk2 is way more expensive around 7.5-8.o millions per unit. But the thing is every good mbt cost the same. If the order will be big the cost might come down to 5 million per unit. As far as t90 is concerned, indian t90 costs more. Just after producing IA realsie its not good enough hence an upgradation plan started to add LEDS APS.

i posted that this turret will be unmanned.

so it can be small without affecting security features

It will have NLOS features and that requires significant projectile processing BMS which Arjun doesnt have.

what is NLOS?
