I have an idea. Why don't cpc offer $2m USD to anyone providing assistance leading to the arrest of per individual. By doing so you will attract bounty hunters in the west looking to make big money

That was exactly what I wanted to write next. If such a bounty is offered, I am sure there will be a lot of help and tips to catch those people.

In fact, the feeling of being watched by people would by itself be an enough of a nightmare for the corrupt fugitives. They would even be suspecting of their own relatives.

I would presume there would be enough potential targets in Canada, as well. In fact, the infographic above even provides those suspects likely locations.

Zhang Yongguang, one of China's most wanted graft fugitives, returned to China Saturday, surrendering to the police and returning bribes he had taken, the anti-corruption authority said Saturday.

Zhang was among China's top 100 fugitives listed on an Interpol Red Notice. He used to be a policeman at a police station affiliated to the Nanshan Branch of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Public Security in south China's Guangdong Province, suspected of receiving bribes.

He fled to the United States in 2010 and was listed on an Interpol Red Notice in August 2013.

So far a total of 54 fugitives on the notice have been seized.

"We will make persistent effort in fighting against corruption and recovering stolen assets, leaving no room for corrupt fugitives to hide and no hope for those who want to flee," said an official with the office in charge of fugitive repatriation and asset recovery under the central anti-corruption coordination group.

I think China has been putting multiple folds of pressure on these people on the run. I guess life will never be comfortable for those people and they will continue to live in fear, not really enjoying the stolen money. That]'s why so many of them have voluntarily surrendered while on the run in seemingly safe countries such as the US.

Besides, life for a corrupt official in a foreign country will be extremely tight and expensive, because the host government will try its best to milk as much money as possible from these people.

A fugitive suspected of embezzling over 28 million yuan (about 4.03 million U.S. dollars) was repatriated from the United States to China Wednesday.

Zheng Quanguan, born in 1957, was the former general manager of a real estate company in central China's Hunan Province. He allegedly took advantage of his leadership position to embezzle the company's property and fled to the United States in 2015, according to the office in charge of fugitive repatriation and asset recovery under the central anti-corruption coordination group.

Chinese police later launched an investigation of Zheng and asked Interpol to issue a Red Notice on him.

The repatriation of Zheng is a successful example of collaborative fugitive repatriation between China and the United States, according to the office, which added that the two sides have seen positive results of their coordination this year.

In July, Xu Chaofan, the chief suspect in a 485-million-dollar embezzlement case, the largest theft case of bank funds since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, was repatriated back to China after 17 years in the United States.

An official with the office said they will further strengthen coordination with the United States and other countries to hunt Chinese fugitives living overseas.

Life as a corrupt fugitive must be terrible, because once one is known as a corrupt ex-official, then, everybody (including the US state) will do heir best to take advantage of them, suck them dry, and then throw them away.
