I think people are simply misguided. Allah has taught us the even if every copy of the quran was lost etc the quaran will be protect by his order and there are millions of hafiz around the globe. Additionally, a musjid is not essential for a muslim to pray and practice his religion. Sure it's nice to go and do congregational prayers but why don't you do that at home with your wife and children. You get the same reward. Allah wants ease for us and he has repeatedly said in the Quran. Our deen is not hard because we make it hard
