And please add that this is India's side of Punjab so people wont confuse it to be Punjab Province of Pakistan.

in my college i have friends of all religions(hindus,sikh,christain,islam,jain,budhists,parsis) and they all celebrate it

Go to the Muslim Mohallas of Lucknow and see for yourself. Of course the chance is there that you will say "There is a snow blizzard on, I can't see a thing!"

I am not a Muslim but my friends are, and we celebrated holi even their parents also joined the party. For us it’s a festival means celebration that’s it. You don’t needed to be a Hindu or Muslim for having some good time with your friends.

Go to a haleem shop in Hyderabad during Ramzan and see the Hindus lined up.

I get invite for the Eid and I do have to turn up to close frnds places. Religion and culture are dufferent. We have lernt to live along. In my apartment 50 - 50 hindu muslims are there .No one bothers. Even my landlord is a Muslim that didnt stop him from renting me the place.
