Hizb snubs media over Arnia encounter‘We killed scores of Indian soldiers’
Srinagar, Nov 29, :Accusing Print and Electronic media of distorting facts about Arnia gunfight, militant outfit Saturday said that Indian media is hiding the facts about the Arnia encounter while the fact is that militants managed to kill scores of Indian soldiers.In an emailed statement to CNS, Hizbul Mujhadeen said that media is distorting the facts about Arnai gun battle and is not presenting the picture in a transparent manner.Hizb while admitting that its four men have been killed in the encounter claimed that scores of Indian soldiers also lost their lives, which India is not making public.Hizb has said that their fight will continue against India till freedom movement reaches to its logical conclusion. Asiya pays tributes to Hizb men killed in Arnia
Srinagar: Chairperson Dukhtarn-e-Millat (DeM) Asiya Andrabi Saturday paid glowing tributes to four Hizbul Mujahideen cadres killed after 32-hour gun battle at Arnia near Line of Control in Jammu region on Friday.
In a statement issued here, Asiya also “congratulated” Hizbul Mujahideen for carrying out the “successful operation” in Arnia.
She said over dozens of Indian soldiers were killed in the attack even as official count remains three including a Junior Commissioned Officer.
Asiya also reiterated election boycott call, asking people to keep away from the process “as a mark of respect and honor for (martyrs and ongoing anti-India movement.” She urged people not to pay any heed to promises made by pro-India politicians.
The DeM statement also alleged that police has intensified search for Asiya as well as her close aide Sofi Fehmeeda.
“Raids were carried at the residences of Andrabi, at Soura and Sofi Fehmeeda at Sikh bagh Lal Bazar.”
