We have discussed this before but just wanted to tell Hindus from India to use something from Hinduism to describe your Hindu dead soldiers. "Shaheed" is the highest muslim religious designation offered to people who die in the path of Allah Subhan wa Taela fighting against non believers - a.k.a Hindus.

Unless you want to say you are living as Hindus and dying as Muslims (which means dead Hindus turn anti-polylithic Muslim), do not use "Shaheed" word for your dead Hindus who are killed in war.

When you do not have a word or a concept to describe your martyred, switch to another language - not another religon.

Shaheed is not a linguistic word. Its not grammar. Shaheed specifically means witnessing One Allah and Witnessing Prophet Muhammad SAWW as the messenger of Allah. It's the first word of Kalima Tayyaba and the last designation a Muslim can embrace in the Path.

• You don't bring "shaheed" in the criminal court to give testament, even though they do witness - but what they witness is not the one-ness of Allah or Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad SAWW.
• Not all muslims who die are "Shaheed". Its not a general word for Muslims either

How can you generalise or legitimise its use for an anti-Islamic religion? On what basis? Specially for non-Muslims or anti-Muslim religion who are fighting and dying against Muslims?

Shaheed has a linguistic root to it. It's variants are used in the Quran itself for other than the meaning being discussed here.

I most certainly did not say that the hindus that are dying for india are Shaheeds in the sense of a person who dies in the way of Allah for the sake of Allah seeking Allah's pleasure who will get a special reward for their deed and will be greatly honored by Allah on Yum al Qayamah.

One can even say with certainty about Muslim fighters dying whilst fighting in a Muslim army that is certainly fighting for truth, let alone non-Muslims.

Anyways, what I was saying was that even if they call themselves shaheed or ahl jannah it wouldn't help them if they lack the necessary things to qualify. I just assumed it would be fairly obvious from my answer. Hope this clarifies tge misconception.
