Just curious but when did Persians rule India? Where the Mughals not Mongols (paternally) who later intermarried with Turks, Persians, Arabs and natives throughout later generations?

All I know for example is that the Nizam of Hyderabad was of Arab ancestry paternally (his dynasty) and that he employed Arab (Hadhrami Yemeni) bodyguards and soldiers as he did not trust locals who tended to switch sides. There were a few other Arab-descended dynasties in modern-day India, Bangladeshi and Sri Lanka. If I am not wrong most of the Muslim dynasties were either Mongolian, Turkic, Arab, from the region of modern-day Pakistan (Pashtun etc.) probably some Iranian ones most likely and a few others.

From what I am aware of many of the Muslim dynasties that ruled parts of modern-day India had their origins in modern-day Pakistan. Not all the ruling Muslim dynasties came from abroad (non-South Asia). There were probably quite a few local Indian Muslim dynasties too. You just have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that locals (who are not your kin as in the case of Pakistanis) chose a religion such as Islam. Why do Indians think that they own South Asia? Never see any such behavior in the Middle East where nobody claims to own the entire region. PDF showed me this strange Indian phenomenon from close hand. In general most Indian users here give India and Indians an incredibly poor image.

Sunni persians were one of the biggest ethnic groups that were part of the Mughal empire even the lingua franca of the Mughals was farsi for a long period of time farsi was considered as a superior language to do poetry in
