Hindu Mahasabha to build Godse’s temple

lol.. tum bhi naa...
i knew abt kanshi ram, and janjivan ram... indira gandhi has a samadhi.. and every year congress celebrate it... even rajiv gandhi death anniversary is been celebrated...
You're right!!

Btw death anniversary is not celebrate :P , there's mourning. :)

Back to topic Gandhi is respected all over the world and it would be vacuous to build a memorial for the man who shot Gandhi. It would be like asking the government to destroy Taj Mahal for it was built on a hindu temple. You get the drift of it dont you??

depends on what secularism means to you...
@Dem!god and @NKVD

Wikipedia says this about Secularism:

Secularism is the principle of the separation of government institutions and persons mandated to represent the state from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. One manifestation of secularism is asserting the right to be free from religious rule and teachings, or, in a state declared to be neutral on matters of belief, from the imposition by government of religion or religious practices upon its people.[Notes 1] Another manifestation of secularism is the view that public activities and decisions, especially political ones, should be uninfluenced by religious beliefs and/or practices.[1][Notes 2]

Now please tell me, is India a secular country?

no i dont... and my reply was nt in vacuous.. gandhi may be respected all over, it doesn't mean everyone should respect him... it depends from person to person... and his choices...
if someone dont like it, then one should just ignore it, no body is pushing anyone to visit it... jst like there is temple of ravan.. even if Ram is the God...

Well I am also not a Gandhi fan neither do I think that Sri Ram is maryada Purusho-uttam (after all he left his pregnant wife in the jungle so that the wild animals could feast on her). I also did not call your response vacuous au contraire I meant Hindu mahasabha demanding a temple/memorial for Godse is ludicrous.

wikipedia defines western secularism... separation of state and religion... indian secularism is different... its not separation.. but upholding every religion equally.. if one religion is granted something then every other religion will be granted the same status or govt. resources...
