very sad situation. Patriotism have come down to loving islam... minorities have no voice in pakistan it seems..!!! shifting base to an enemy country would be the last thing any patriotic pakistanis would do unless they are pushed to the limits. This had nothing to do with the fact that he was Hindu, the Indian newspapers are overplaying his religion. He was accused of corruption and ran to save himself from the long arm of the law. His choice of India as his exile country probably was due to his Hindu faith and the fact that India is unlikely to entertain a Pakistani request for extradition.

This establishes that India harbours and provides safe santuaries to corrupt people.

as the source is from Times of India it is biased. Focusing on the fact that Hindus are specially being targeted is a wrong concept. More Muslims die than Hindus in Karachi and I am sure that the threats he received has nothing to do with him being a Hindu. .

You guys may be right. May be he is a thief.. But if you look at the larger picture. He might have taken this step because there are already reported cases of widespread persecution of minorities,the lady who was convicted of blasphmey is one such recent example. I also have had seen many settlements of pakisani hindu population in amristar area. And also many in haryana too. The problem should not be laughed of lightly. And we should accept the scenario boldy rather than live in complete denial, which is infact happening. If we dont accept it as a problem, then where is the solution?.

In india, there is wide spread discussion and debate over minority persecution. Laws and acts are in favour of minorities, and it is also implemented well. However the odd religious attacks happening by a SMALL group of extrimists is something which we need to prevent. However majority being non gun bearing citizens the attacks against minorities are limited to an extent to a reaction to a terrorist attack or physical abuse of religoius places of worship, and it is not that more often(it happens both ways). However there needs to be a change in mindset in my country too, and i believe that is happening also.. coz we discuss the subject openly without fear in the main stream media.
