We are not living in Roman times. Given how church pews are empty in Europe and emptying up fast in almost all Christian countries, we will not need lions either.

People are free to choose their faith. Agreed.

As to aggressive missionaries in a marketing competition creating trouble and divide in societies because that means more $$$ from the west, they surely need to be controlled.

Missionairies are here in Romania (they are evanghelists,we are Orthodox).Some,few just like in India,converted,most,like me,told them a polite NO and that was that.And yes,they build houses for the poor,offer rewards in here to.

In india this leads to friction in close knit tribal societies that are poor and illiterate. We have every right to decide what is good for us. Overzealous missionaries spreading hatred is not desirable.

We have other pressing issues to deal with, other than who is your imaginary friend.

India has taken strides in illiteracy eradication. However if the religious zeal of some outsiders creates social problems rather than fix them then we are well within our rights to control such religious nutjobs, darlings of the west they may be.

In India the trend has been to feed the Hindus to the lions. :cofffee: ....... but that has not paned out for the christians or muslims here.

We even have a Mountain Range called the "Mountain of dead Hindus" ........ you know it as "Hindu Kush".
