Screenshots from documentary "Freedom, Equality and Muslim Brotherhood" (plz search on Google)

This is a documentary worth-watching. Its made by a Muslim, about the rise of Muslim Brotherhood in Arab world and western countries. Features MB chief Mahdi Akef, brother of Ikhwan founder Gamaal al-Banna (who disagrees with founder Hasan al-Banna) and other influential people...

One reason for this is the labor export to Saudi Arabia. Just like Pakistanis, thousands of Egyptian workers went to work in Gulf States for higher wages, and they came back infected with Wahhabi ideas. That conservatism became the base for Muslim Brotherhood to develop its influence.

T
This is true all over the world. The Muslims are becoming more aware of their religious identity. Growing education has allowed them to study Islam more closely. This is natural.

Is this Islamization .... Or 'Arab Culture ... ?? (as you suggest )

Its only backward, islamist when it applies to muslims.
Arab.

. . . .
Lol @ this stupid thread, before the 50s in Egypte most women wore the Hijab it only after Jamal Abdulnasser coup and the implementation of his Pan Arabisim and socialist agendas and his crackdown on everything religious that women started to lose their Islamic identities, now it's Just back to default.

. . . .
Since Islam came to existence.

funny that those who insist on this "identity" become pawns in the great games of western powers, and those like me who chart another course become the other players... great difference.

Did Judaism and Christianity originate from the Middle East Arab regions?

Middle east the Region is synonymous to Religion ... ??

Islamization is the Arab culture spread through Islamic teachings and conservative schools of thought, basically Arab assimilation through Islam. Genius.

BTW if you are not aware plz allow me to tell you that Jews claim to have 4000 to 5000 years history, Christianity is 2000 years old religion & you say that

Influenced by Arab Culture.

.
Look.

I will try to make this simple for everyone.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all Abrahamic (Semitic) religions that originated in the Semitic Near East. In what is today the Arab world and Israel.

That region is the cradle of civilization and was home to dozens upon dozens of ancient civilizations and peoples who were closely related on most fronts. Despite this there were distinct cultures and even religions (Semitic paganism etc.) depending on the time period.

Some of those practices millenniums upon millenniums ago influenced the 3 Abrahamic religions.

Headscarf is just a garment and if I recall was first used (documented) in ancient Mesopotamia and was a clothing that noble women wore.

Once people ran around naked. Some people in certain parts of the world still do this to this day.

Islam obviously is a part (now) of Arab culture but Arab let alone Semitic culture contains 1 million more fields than just Islam let alone the two other Abrahamic religions.

Arab Christians, Atheists or Arab Jews don't consider Islam as a part of their culture for instance and they are not any less Arab because of that.

Also there is no denying that the Abrahamic religions have shaped our world, including the Western world, on every field or that the ancient civilizations of the Arab world/MENA did that too long before the appearance of Islam.

Besides Islamic history and Islam is so, so much more than just a hijab and the Arab world is a place of great diversity.

People forget that Islam and the Islamic world for almost 1000 years was more liberal and advanced than Christian Europe and that those same "savage" Muslims influenced Europe a lot and helped it become what it is today. Especially in terms of The Renaissance.

Sometimes I wonder if people have ever opened a history book before or are just blabbering based on what their media is propagandizing to them or whatever their friends are telling them of "facts".

I understand that with Daesh around, an infinite number of uneducated retards in the MENA region and overall bad leadership such thinking gains momentum but COME on. I expect more from people who have free access to information.

We don't live in the 19th century anymore.

Cheers.

Let me tell this. In the Arab world there are many wonderful programs of ancient Arab/Semitic/Middle Eastern history and also on Islam and in general the culture, traditions etc. of the region. Sadly such reports/documentaries never reach the Western world or very rarely.

Recently I watched a very interesting program about the "flower men of KSA".

I would like if the GCC leaders thought about that and in general helped combat the ignorant beliefs that are held by certain communities of the world in regards to the region. Unfortunately they are not doing the best job at that currently. Some locals don't help either.

Also did it ever occur to people that most women who wear a hijab (a garment like any other) are not forced to do so?

So when you say it's Arab Culture in an essay, @HRK gives you thanks... but when I say it in a few words he acts all flustered?

"Judaism, Christianity and Islam are all Abrahamic (Semitic) religions that originated in the Semitic Near East. In what is today the Arab world and Israel."

Me:
Did Judaism and Christianity originate from the Middle East Arab regions?

Instead of spelling it out like @Saif al-Arab did here: "Besides Islamic history and Islam is so, so much more than just a hijab and the Arab world is a place of great diversity."

And Here: "Let me tell this. In the Arab world there are many wonderful programs of ancient Arab/Semitic/Middle Eastern history and also on Islam and in general the culture, traditions etc. of the region."

I conglomerate it all under two words...Arab Culture. Why? Because I'm lazy and don't like writing Essays unless it's a
Scientific Fiction Novel.

Noooo I'm a stupid Murican Red neck know nothing.
