High pressure: President inaugurates historic Pak-Iran gas pipeline

The devils is in the details. What prices have been agreed to for the gas to be supplied through the pipeline, and are they affordable for Pakistan given the falling prices in the international market?

it is atleast 3 times more expensive then pakistani local production, pakistan produces gas at the rate of 3.5 dollars ber btu, where as firstly the price is linked with oil price and second, it will cost 12.5 dollars per mmbtu, it also depends if iranian sanctions are lifted, then iran will gather more market and it will make its gas more expensive

.
No doubt... my face glittered at the news..... Congrats every one..... Yes we are weak... But a "country"..... InshaAllah not we are going so easily to US ... Are not we watching glimpses of gradual changes??.....Even the changes would cost us a lot.....

So how are Pakistani consumers going to benefit? Either the price of gas will go through the roof, or the government will have to subsidize it greatly, which will raise the ire of the IMF, leading to other difficult economic decisions.

Look,

Zoordari took 300 people with him to innaugurate the pipe line.

He must be brought to counrt and made to answer, as to why the people of Pakistan had to pay for the visit of 300,
when just 4-5 could have done the job.

Gillani, and Ameen Faheem are seen in pictures.

Gillani is convicted offender, so how can the GoP take him out on diplomatic outings ?

Faheem is on the edge of court's sword too.

Is there no legal audit ( since the moral once is gone anyway) ?

also the project is set for thirty years, the gas prices will obviously sky rocket but atleast there will be no load shedding, also all the other comodity price will sky rocket

So we will have gas but will not be able to afford to use it? How is that any different from having no gas to use? Prices of other commodities are already sky high and rising rapidly.

A semi functioning Pakistan is already a miracle. We will soon witness the collapse of Pakistan and its ''state''

arnt you the same guy whose nick was @Pakistan_sucks ?

well today when inflation is sky rocketing every price have people stopped buying?

but i think ultimate loser is pakistan's economy, if we try to fasten our economic progress, this step will cost us

i dont understand why we dont fund the gas projects in our own country

Pakistan is a weak country and will soon give into US demands

You are so wrong.. Pakistan is the Weakest Strong country on the face of this earth.

US demands have little to do with what the Pakistani people think.
