What's new

Here's how Pakistan ranks among world's English speaking countries

Not entire South Asia. Its just a Pakistan thingy. Indians are proud of their accent. People all over the world know about Indian accent. We dont hide it. Please check any of the English news channels in India. You won't find them speaking in american or british accent. If Indian news channels are not available in your location, youtube it.

That was the point every one does it especially South Asian's just bother to go through all my posts don't feel butt hurt just because you have feeble comprehension skills.

and Canada on number 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe Canada was on 3 because we are considered as a 'bilingual' nation. Most folks out east are mainly exposed to french, hence their ability to communicate in English, are fairly, limited. I am not sure what assessment criteria was used to calculate 'Which nations speaks better English' (Accent? Vocabulary? Grammar?)

Nah re, not true for India anymore. To be able to speak in english doesn't impress anyone, except, perhaps in north India.
Foreign accent is almost unheard of, in my part of India, infact it will attract ridicule from peers if anyone tries.
Young folks who are still in school and colleges are comfortable with local accents. Young musicians now a days sing in english in local accent and it is appreciated and well accepted by everyone.

Have to talk to Indians over the phone quite frequently, and even if they speak "english",
and Indian translator is needed at our location, which interprets the "english" to something understandable.
Main problem is punctuation.
