Even during Azadi interchange Construction and Rains in the occasion nothing happened to the route

The Rawalpindi section and Peshawar Morr in Islamabad is being built NLC and its not the first time their construction quality and pace is poor. A month ago Shahbaz Sharif complained to Raheel Sharif about it. The Army was informed not a single penny will be given

My objection has nothing to do with any political party, but the policy of spending more than earning. And we will remain near to defaulting line unless we fix our stupidities and giving senseless subsidies just for votes is one of them and keep giving bamboo of indirect taxes to common man instead of direct taxation are examples of such stupidities. Yeah, on day God Almighty will shower dollars in Pakistan to payoff all our loans, until than we should continue spending more than our aukat and keep washing dirty laundry of others to get loans and Aids to cover gap.



Basics of economics also tells that you have earn revenues for spending, no rocket science is required there. Pakistan is one of few countries with pathetic tax to GDP ratio, and leader in imposing indirect taxes.

That's basic economics, which is there to understand.

As I said, economics is far more complex and the more complex it gets, the better it explains why and accurately.

I was just going over my economics book and I'm basic/simplicity chapters things make a lot of sense and accurate to daily life, but as chapters add more complexities, it starts to show how wrong have I been thinking.

Metro is also productive project. The buses are newer and hence pollute the air less, so less effects on health and environment. Plus gives a cheap transport mode for poor people. And public transportation is very important. Cities cannot thrive without it. We've issues with health education and so on, but they will be far more costly than public transportation. Not to mention public transportation actually generates revenue, whereas clean water and so forth doesn't generate to an equal extent.

The gov't will keep adding more routes and it's going to keep adding burden onto tax payers. The train system is going to be more expensive and will also be subsidized.

well it is direct subsidy to the poor and middle class people . Ticket is only Rs 20 for all the route of 33 kms , if they increase the fare , no need for subsidy.

u should see that what i quote wish like for . i was just saying lahore metro is not making any profit for government. that is a liability for people of lahore. At most 1 lac people use it. which is one percent of city . and we are paying 1 billion subsidy . I am not saying it doesnt ficlitate poor people. It does. but sure if there was bullet train it woyuld have been much better. question is can we afford it? please how much loan we due to pay. Pakistan is slowly become Argentina. we will default. we are paying loans by taking more loans. so should we take more loans and spend it like this? on failed laptop scheme , youth festivals . will u borrow money and spend it like this?

metros subsidy is not taken from loan, it comes from Punjabs budget which is 1300 Billion per annum and metro subsidy is just 1 billion . so not a big deal to facilitate people .

Now if any lota came with the logic that it is London metro. i will suggest him that YES..
this is London metro .
the guy in this picture is mayor of London.
and the Urdu writing on elevator "lift" is just due to large number of Pakistanis who live in London.... OK !

NLC is still working on sewerage system here it's just one station out of 23 many are underground passageways did you saw water in all of them?

ya, these kind of projects are finished in phases, and its never complete. you need to keep expanding and upgrading.
