What's new

Herald Pakistan also going down

. .
True. Take Dawn which I think owned Herald. It's contributors can barely hide their distaste for Pakistan. The only one of them i give some respect to is Parvez hoodbuoy. I can excuse his pieces because they often do contain very solid analysis and being a fine scientist there is some rationale in his writing even if he is trans-national which is common with scientists of his rank. However we have then a choice selection of Pakistan bashers. Cyril Almedia, Irfan Hussain who can barely hide his hatred for Imran Khan. And then we have Mahir Ali who sounds more Indian with his anti Chinese and very Indo centric pieces. Dawn needs closing down.

PM IK needs to learn from Erdogan how he muzzled the media.
IK is learning dead fast!! He has learnt the fine art of political “U-turns”, which means Pak’s enemies will be guessing what’s coming next!! They will be hard pressed to spend considerable time and energy to study IK’s moves!!! In the past their implants were in auto mode devised by them...

What is happening?
we are a month away from 2019 buddy no one buys newspapers anymore

news has changed. people want to see the news on issues they are interested in. also social media alongside news outlets on these social media sites have become todays newspaper.

. . .
What is happening?

When we banned foreign NGOs the money from Soros stop flowing in and business is no more profitable. Great news. Pakistan is promotes free speech but public tax money should not be used for propaganda instead it should be used for public benefit.

When were the employees informed? How did they react? Do all of them have any alternative occupation?

. .
what fine businesses media houses are running!

Clearly shows how Dawn was being funded from abroad and other means outside of their sales.

Dawn was fine uptil 2009/10 after a change in ownership it started pushing foreign narrative incl. questioning the existence of Pakistan. A paper which was media arm to the Muslim League has become an anti-Pakistan propaganda wing.
English print media in Pakistan has destroyed its own credibility by being the agent of foreign states and once that funding dries up will have nowhere to turn to. Most Pakistanis trust social media more than the media with sellout journos.

Why is there no credible conservative English media in Pakistan? Heck, I don't think so that there's any sophisticated and decent conservative in Urdu. Very strange.

LOL...GOOD.

Nobody reads these toxic secularist propaganda houses. They were propped up by previous governments to bash army, constitution, and opponents.

And now they are dying their natural death. Free market at work :)

Wonderful!!

Hopefully Dawn and Express Tribune go bankrupt too. Especially Express Tribune and its affiliates...
