Most welcome, you will surely enjoy your journeyI'm a engineer, I'm interested in CPEC progress and security situation in pakistan.
I want to travel alone in pakistan in the future.
Eh Jamahir the more I think about you it hot me your the voice of sanity on PDF. A morally upright, politically progressive and open minded person. If India had more likes of you I would be apt to say 1947 was a mighty big blunder. Take care my friend and may the power be with you.Welcome to

No, no. Partition was fine. Jamahir stays over here, where he belongs. Thanks, @Kaptaan, but no thanks.
Sirs, thanks for the compliments. But please allow me to rely at length tomorrow. I am quite sleepy presently.

I don't think that unification is possible ,not with the present widely spread hate and religious extremism, I think we should just forget 1947 partition and not look back ,what's done is done. On a second note I've been reading your posts for quite some time , u have a rational mindThanks for the compliments and the concern.
There are many more like me, whether they be in the legal system, or in student politics ( the progressives among the Jawarharlal Nehru University bunch of students ), in academia ( like our own Joe Shearer ), in trade unions, in electoral politics ( including the Aam Aadmi Party ), in the scientific ranks, among the civil activists, among some of the media, and so on.
The problem is their voice sometimes, or many times, drowned out by the shrill noises from the right-wing on all sides of the religious spectrum.
And I agree that '47 was a big blunder.
Well, while I find India to be culturally comforting to live in, I still hope for a reunification of the Subcontinent, distant though that dream may seem.

My friend I think u r too optimistic about it but the ground realities are different ,almost nobody in India or Pakistan wants to be friends let alone form a alliance like European union ,they don't want to be reunited with their "lousy" neighbors. The events that u speak about are so tiny that they don't really have any significance, both nations need to start opening trading routes ,we need to have a massive trade volume to make a difference, and also we need cultural exchange programs on a massive scale.
Socialist movements in both countries don't really have massive support, people love nationalism they are seduced by it ,only Europeans came to their senses after fighting 2 world wars only then they realised that nationalism is doing more harm than good.aam admi party and swaraj party have limited power and their region of influence is limited, they turned out to be a big flop. First we need to apply this true democracy thingy to our own country which is basically against the Constitution (come on no parties!!) The real intention and focus of political parties is to be re elected again. Unfortunately the intention is not lasting peace ,Pakistan has Kashmir in their mind plus India is very sensitive on the issue of state sponsored terrorism the best we can hope for now is to stop cross border terrorism and loc ceasefire violations and that is far from happening because Pakistan wants to keep the Kashmir issue alive, unless they forget it I don't see these things from happening
Thank you.
