Have you ever donated your time or money for a worthy cause? If so what?

I volunteerd when I was a college student years ago doing work for Habitat for Humanity. I was part of a co-ed fraternity. It was really fun, learned a thing or two about construction work.

I still remember a comment from a giggling female brother ( everybody is a brother in a fraternity) when we were hammering nails on a roof at a location, " Nailing is definetly a man's job."

Yes, I regularly donate to HK-based charity organizations such as Tung Wah Group.

And I have donated my personal time as well, though it was a while ago. It involved taking old computers that had been thrown away, and taking out the valuable parts such as the CPU and RAM, because those were the parts that had the most resale/reuse value.

Any kind of charity work tends to be a very rewarding experience.

I am associated with an NGO which address the problems faced by some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities, like the Sex Workers, the HIV Positive, Urban Homeless, Disabled, Street Children, Riot Victims.I am supporting a child for his education.

I sponsor food and education for 18 girls in different parts of India thru world vision. Every time I get a pay hike/promotion, I add the responsibility of 1 more girl.

The feelin is so good, some say its better than ***.

One of the house I worked at was in a low income neighborhood. The prospective owner was there while we were massin around with 2X4s. She was so happy that she will own a house. She could not thank us enough.

Almost forgot, I did send money on two different occasions for flood relief in Bangladesh.

donate money on regular basis to IKF or SKMH or Ehdi, worked in EarthQuake relief efforts, volunteered in flood relief but was not called in have done fund raising in college and community (the worst part I stopped doing this fund raising thing), worked for SKMH as volunteer too, anyway will volunteer for PTI as well, my time, my knowledge, my resources, reputation and influence and whatever it takes to make PTI come into power. cause this would be the greatest service to people of pakistan to bring ImranKhan into power. InshAllah.

i donated blood money and risk my own life for my country a number of times .....all the time i think how to make my country better and there is milions of egyptians who are willing to do more
