Have Rajputs and Pathans historically ever come into contact?

I think most Pashtuns and Rajputs are indigenous to their region. I dont attribute these two very different groups to one wave.

The Hephthalites ruled from Tajikistan to Central India for nearly a century. It's perfectly possible that members of that group settled across their empire. Although these wiki articles aren't comprehensive, relevent proofs are still cited.

Trust me, I know all about the waves. There were people there, people who would've outnumbered the invaders. So, I'll stick with that majority have been there before the white hun movement. Though, some of the tribes with in the Pashtuns or Rajputs could have a closer connection with the white huns than others.

Yes. It will be absolutely ridiculous to say that these groups occupied virgin lands and preserved their culture till date. It's a possibility that they're both having some Hephthalite ancestry, and not all members of the groups at that.
