Former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said families of army personnel will also take part in his upcoming march to Islamabad to remove the "imported government that came to power through a US-backed conspiracy".
Addressing a huge public meeting in Gujranwala, Imran said: "The police will also help you [in getting to Islamabad]. They will send their family members with you and government employees will [do the same] as well.
"And I know my army's families will also come with us to Islamabad," he added.
The former prime minister is planning a long march towards Islamabad at a yet undecided date later this month in a bid to pressure the government into holding immediate elections as he claims that his government was "conspired against" and unfairly ousted by the US, with the help of his political opponents and in the form of a successful no-trust move against him last month.
Imran, in his speech today, said he would unveil the date of his long march during a rally in Multan on May 20 (Friday), and hoped he would win the "fight for real independence in Islamabad this month".
Imran called on women, children and the elderly to participate in the march. He said he was calling the people to Islamabad to foil the "American conspiracy" and send a message to all the conspirators that Pakistan was an "free nation".
"This isn't politics, this is revolution," Imran said, adding that the "biggest dacoits and mafias" of the country were standing on one side and the nation on the other.
"This is called revolution when the people become a nation and then we [can] combat these mafias who suck our blood. [We] will badly defeat them."
Turning his aim at his political opponents, the PTI chairman lashed out at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accusing him of "polishing boots" of officials from the US Embassy.
"When he sees the army boot, he polishes them [with such vigour] that he sees his own reflection," Imran said about PM Shehbaz, referring to his alleged appeasing of the military establishment.
Imran said PM Shehbaz and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif were "trapped". "There is an ocean in front of them and Imran Khan is standing behind them."
He claimed that the PML-N's time was up and a "sea of people" would soon enter Islamabad and sweep them away.
Imran said the prime minister would not be able to escape the cases against him in the Federal Investigation Agency. "As soon as you go [from the prime minister's seat], the investigation will start and we will take money from you and throw you in jail," he added.
Imran claimed that PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari was "very happy" that PM Shehbaz and the PML-N were drawing everyone's ire. "Indeed, Zardari 'you are bhaari (dominant)' over PML-N and taking good revenge," he said.
On the Supreme Court's verdict on a presidential reference seeking interpretation of Article 63-A of the Constitution which is related to the status of defecting lawmakers, Imran said it was "necessary" for him to pay tribute to the apex court for "wiping out lotay (turncoats)".
He said that Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz would have to abdicate his office after the court's ruling.

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that he will unveil the schedule for his party’s upcoming ‘Haqiqi Azadi March’ towards Islamabad in Multan rally, Aaj News reported.
Addressing the Lahore Bar Association Lawyers Convention, the former premier said that he will announce the date of his party’s upcoming long march in Multan rally, which is scheduled to take place on May 20 (Friday).
Khan said that he needed the support of lawyers to deal with the ‘imported government’ which he said had been imposed on the country.
“No campaign becomes successful without the participation of the lawyers,” he said, adding Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal were also lawyers. He invited all the lawyers to join his party's movement against the ‘imported government.’
The PTI chief said that the incumbent government will use all tactics to stop PTI’s democratic right to protest peacefully.
“This campaign is not a political one but a jihad for the country,” he said. “We all reject the US conspiracy for a regime change in the country. We reject slavery.”
“Not for me but for yourself and your children you will have to make the country independent and self-sustained.”
Khan emphasized that his party’s long march will remain peaceful. “It will be a peaceful protest by millions of people,” he said.
He alleged that the “imported government” is making an all-out effort to abolish cases against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his family, adding that PTI will not let PM Shehbaz succeed in his endeavors.

God Forbid this happens.
But imagine if one of Pakistan enemies, too many to name, but let's say our neighbor to the east was to somehow assassinate IK in the coming days. Imagine the fallout. I can see people pointing figures internally (PDM, Establisment) and outbound. I believe in such instance there would be unrest and a civil war would abrupt and KPK and maybe Balochistan would separate, maybe others. Our enemies would be killing two birds with one stone.

Former prime minister Imran Khan said on Friday that he had called a session of the PTI core committee on Sunday in Peshawar, where a final decision on the date for his long march to Islamabad will be decided.
Addressing a huge rally in Multan, where he was expected to announce a final date for his march to Islamabad, Imran said it could be held on any day between May 25 and May 29.
He demanded that the National Assembly be dissolved immediately and a date for elections announced, lashing out at the current government for what he said was its inability to govern the country.
Since his ouster as prime minister on April 10, Imran has held a series of large public rallies across the country, terming his ouster a foreign conspiracy and urging the public to prepare for a march to the capital to pressure the authorities into accepting his demand for immediate elections in the country.
Criticising the PML-N-led coalition government, Imran said "they were busy conspiring but now that they have assumed power, they must tell us why they are struggling to govern the country."
"A convict is taking decisions. Sometimes they are asking the National Security Committee to hike prices," he said.
The former premier said his government collected record tax, IT exports surged by 75 per cent during his tenure and Pakistan's employment rate was the highest in the entire sub-continent.
"You toppled our government and now I am happy comparisons are taking place." Imran said if he did not care for the nation, he would wish they [PML-N] stayed in power for more months so that people curse them as well as those "who brought them to power".
He said a wave of inflation is on its way because when the rupee depreciates, "it has an impact on everything".
"If they stay in power longer, they will make Pakistan into Sri Lanka. That's why I demand an election date as soon as possible and dissolution of assemblies."
The ex-PM said police officials, army personnel, retired army officers and civil servants had assured that their families would be taking part in the Islamabad march.
"The sea of people that will head towards the capital will be the first of its kind in history," Imran claimed.
He said his decision to initiate a march was not based on politics, adding that "it is a revolution that will make Pakistan a great nation".
Turning his guns on America, Imran said the US had no right to dictate Pakistan. "You ask us to refrain from buying oil and wheat from Russia, but did you ever make a similar demand from India?" he asked.
He said India and Pakistan came into being at the same time but the former had a people-friendly foreign policy while the latter was unfortunate to have leaders like Sharifs and Zardaris. "These leaders do not have the courage to enact policies for the welfare of the public."
Imran asked the US whether it had ever grilled Israel for subjecting Palestinians to extreme violence. "Then why do you make such demands from Pakistan?"
He said the ruling elite governing Pakistan for 30 years had been appeasing the US in a way that the country lost its honour and dignity.
Imran said the corrupt "troika" — Fazl, Zardari and Sharifs — backed by the US hatched a conspiracy against his government after he "refused to let them go scot-free in corruption cases".
He said he could not understand the reason behind Sharif family's rage against him.
"All the corruption cases, except the one by FIA, against Shehbaz Sharif were filed in their own reigns," he added.
The PTI chief called upon people to focus on two main demands when they reached Islamabad. "First is the dissolution of assemblies, and the second is the immediate announcement of elections."
He underlined that Pakistan could never have the blessings of Allah if the corrupt ruling elite continued to remain in power.
In another remark targeting Maryam Nawaz, Imran said someone sent him a clip from Maryam's public meeting from a day ago wherein she took his name many times.
"I want to tell you that your husband may get upset because of the way you are taking my name," the ex-PM said.
Reacting strongly to this comment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said women from the entire country should protest against the use of such "regrettable" language.
"Using such shallow tactics, you will not be able to hide your crimes against the country. One can't expect those who disrespected the Prophet's Mosque to respect mothers, sisters and daughters," Shehbaz wrote on Twitter.
