There are over 35,000 Hindus living in Larkana, making up around nine percent of the city’s population. And so when the ever-ready Muslim mob conjured the blasphemy card, in turn torching a temple and a dharamshala in the city on March 16, the religious tension in the city was as palpable as it gets. Larkana is one of the strong holds of peoples party that prides itself to be secular.
there are no madrassahs there or no Punjabis or Pathans to accuse for this racism and hatred for Hindus.
what the Hindu population has to suffer on daily basis is deplorable and cant be explained for current terrorism of Taliban neither compared with other persecuted communities of Pakistan.

Sadly Pakistani Hindus suffer sometimes due to whatever happens inside India although they have no say or power over how Hindu fanatics treat the Muslims there. the news of destruction of Babri mosque spread like wild fire in Pakistan and some old Hindu Temples were destroyed by Muslim fanatics an act equally deplorable and disgusting as those Indians who were filmed urinating on the Babri mosque rubble.

whatever the nationality and faith we, the peope of South east asia show the worse of us in sometimes and on other occasions the best of us also comes out. case in point people like Insar Burni's organisation collecting money for Indian captives to free from Somali pirates or Edhi's organisation paying and arranging for freed Indian fishermen and other people to repatriate with their loved ones at the Indo-Pak border.

Can we say the same thing about muslims in Burma ? I mean what ever happening with muslims in Burma is because of all the things happening around the world by muslims ?No sir. you are wrong. Unless and until muslims in other countries think themselves as citizen first and muslim after that, persecution of non-muslims in muslim lands and vice versa will happen.

There are always divisions in a society. Hindu is not a monolith, and so isnt muslism. Muslims also have different sects, Shia, sunni, ahmeddiya, ismaili and then deobandi and barelvis. each tries to get the bigger piece of the pie.

In india there is an affirmative action program going on for scheduled castes, wherein we give reservations to the downtrodden sections in colleges and jobs. Some states have reservation for muslims as well.

We do have problems but we are on the right track and the situation is only improving. India may today be the best place for muslim to live in. Unity in diversity

Castes were basically meant to divide power, so that no one caste gets too powerful. And it was not originally based on birth.
Brahmins were to have knowledge
Kshatrias were to have martial prowess and weapons
Vaishyas were to have wealth
and shudras were to have land
It was made that no individual has more than two, so that power is distrubuted more evenly in society. But there are some ill-minded people who try to take advantage of it and made into what it has become today.

But things are really improving, and whatever pakistan or even some indians may feel about it, RSS has contributed very heavily in eradicating the caste system. In RSS brahmins and shudras used to eat side by side. B. R ambedkar, the father of the indian constitution belonged to the lowest sect of shudras, and he commented "This is the first time that I am visiting the camp of Sangh volunteers. I am happy to find absolute equality between Savarniyas (Upper cast) and Harijans (Lower cast) without any one being aware of such difference existing"

I admit there caste system has been exploited and people have been marginilized.
even ambedkar left hinduism and became a buddhist at the fag end of his life.

Untouchability is not advocated anywhere in the religion. It has just been followed blindly, and that is why it was opposed by many indians in the recent past, even gandhi, and with education and intermingling of people in the urban environment, it will be eradicated.

Ironically now even a brahmin wants to be scheduled caste because of the priviledges one gets.

start from Bali to New York via middle east

Now you are discussing religion without knowing it. I can say the same thing as I have enough knowledge about Islam. But I am not a scholar. So i can not comment on that.

but let me say this, mistreatment of any faith , race or religion in Pakistan by fellow Pakistanis is absolutely wrong and I will always condemn it. I highlighted an issue related to our politics that also affects our minorities.

we dont know jack about Hindu faith
I will be surprised if our Muslim mobsters know much or care to know much Islamic teaching before they torch and burn people and property let alone knowing other faiths.

what we are taught is

how bad is Hinduism
how bad is Christianity
how bad is Judiaism

and then we refine it as
how bad are Ahmedis
how bad are shia

and on the basis of this teaching, we declare to know all and make our opinion.
I strongly urge you and other posters NOT to judge or insult Hindusim or any other faith.

need real representative leaders for that. our democratic leaders lack such skill or these matters dont bother them so you are right.
they use the constitution to their own advantage and term it beauty of democracy.
maybe we are not fit for this type of democracy which is actually feudalism and nepotism in disguise.
