Has Imran Riaz being Murdered!

True but one caveat that we conveniently forget when raising this point. The reason people did not care was because at that time the establishment had the support of the people. Hence when important leaders were sent packing or put to death we had the “sharing the sweets” phenomenon. Right now public support for the army is almost zero. Hence we see a shadow martial law. If the army still had the support of the people in the majority or even, evenly. We would have seen military takeover already. Anybody who refuses to see the situation as such is still stuck in the 80’s 90’s politics in which you could control the media narrative. The social media revolution and digital age has completely changed the game.

If we the people merit the evils based on our "likeness" for the perpetrator, then it is us who's still stuck in the dark ages. And we are. And that's who is at fault. You and me.

Support for Army is Not zero. the "digital youth" is not more than 30% of the total population . We need to remember the millions affected by floods and earthquakes which only remember the army. Not just the netizens of 5 cities .

Martial law will never be implemented again directly. This was decided within the army ranks since Pervaiz Musharraf era because western countries didn't like to be supporting non-democratic governments. NOT because there's lack of support.

Having said that, Should Army institutions (esp. ISI) "handle" political parties? NO.

Should torture be used? NEVER. (I personally favour torture to get information fast, but it's wrong)
