Hari Singh Nalwa:one of the best commanders ever

Kyber Paktunwata . peshawar was summer capital of durranis. Conquered by Nalwa.

They conquered empty buildings the population had left. The ultimate aim was to enter Afghanistan, you know the land that had launched most of the invasions into Punjab. That never happened and he died doing so.

Good solider no doubt but nothing what you make him out like.

Oh dear oh dear....

New book claims to nail Longewala 'lies' - Hindustan Times

"It's about taking credit where little is due," said general Atma Singh, adding: "Can troops equipped with recoilless guns, medium machine guns and mortars beat off an armoured attack? I hope the book will lay the lies of the battle to rest."

....hmmm....

so why was General Mustafa put on trial for negligence lol?

The battle of Longewala saw heavy Pakistani losses and low Indian casualties. Since the Indians were able to use the defenders' advantage, they managed to inflict heavy losses on the Pakistanis. Indian casualties in the battle were two soldiers. In addition, one Indian jeep mounted recoilless rifle was knocked out. Pakistani losses were 200 soldiers killed.[citation needed] The Pakistanis also suffered the loss of 34 tanks destroyed or abandoned, and lost 500 additional vehicles.[4] The judicial commission set up at the end of war recommended the commander of 18 division Major General Mustafa to be tried for negligence during the war.[19]

Because it was a tank charge without infantry or air suport. That is gross incompetence at best.

Sikhs certainly were hardcore warriors, with an impressive fighting history.

This sounds like a Sikh wet fantasy.

Fact is, Sikhs were defeated by the British and then became British slaves.
Sikhs enlisted as soldiers in the British Army and fought for their British conquerors.

Sikhs invaded Afghanistan under the British flag and were slaughtered by Pashtuns in three wars.

The Sikhs never won a single Afghan war for the British.

Sikh soldiers were canon fodder for their British masters.

British Officer to Sikhs soldier : "Jump!!!"

Sikh Soldier: "How high Sir???"

“Khan! You once helped us, the Afghans,to become free from the slavery of the Persians by
giving them a crushing defeat; and now once again, on the battlefield of Panjab, you have earned our
gratitude for the selfless and gallant fight against the Sikhs, for which we are proud of you. ”

And the so called sikh empire lasted how many years?

The population was evacuated. I thought you said you had read about this? No one wanted to live under the empire.

You are now trolling and seem to have an axe to grind against Muslims. Khalsa units? Ok.....

There was limited infantry support, most of them men were vehicle bound, hence the high casualty rate of vehicles being hit after hits by the IAF.

Sikhs certainly were hardcore warriors, with an impressive fighting history.

we are good warriors, but we aren't any russians ,man. Russians come in the top 3 or top 2. us,sikhs, afghans come in top 10.

LOLOLOLOLOL... yeah funny fact even Mir Nasir Khan and Abdali kicked their behinds... 1765..

Yet ,we kept looting Abdali conveys that were carrying loot and slaves lol.

The main cause of the decline of the Durrani Empire was relentless efforts of the Sikhs. After suffering at the hands of the Afghans, the Sikh misls united under Ranjit Singh, and were able to re-capture Amritsar (1802), Ludhiana (1806), Multan, Kashmir, Ladakh, Peshawar, the Khyber Pass and Lahore. By the time Ranjit Singh of the Sikh Empire died, the Sikhs had taken almost all of Pakistan and Kashmir from the Afghans. Dost Mohammad of the Afghans put up much resistance, even defeating Ranjit Singh in Kandahar, but that did not stop the Sikhs from capturing Peshawar. Dost Mohammad and the Afghans were defeated in 1814, giving the Sikhs control of the strategically important Khyber Pass.

Early victories of Durrani Ahmad Shah... - The Great Durrani Empire | Facebook

His Durrani empire was one of the largest Islamic empires in the world at that time. However, even prior to his death, the empire began to unravel. In 1762, Ahmad Shah crossed the passes from Afghanistan for the sixth time to subdue the Sikhs. He assaulted Lahore and, after taking their holy city of Amritsar, massacred thousands of Sikh inhabitants, destroying their revered Golden Temple. Within two years, the Sikhs rebelled again and rebuilt their holy city of Amritsar. Ahmad Shah tried several more times to subjugate the Sikhs permanently, but failed.
