No offence to anyone, but concept of God is over-rated.

Please elaborate - don't worry, nobody will get offended. I would like to hear your point of view as well.

The thing is that if you are a believer then it will be hard for you to understand, but I'l try. And no offence to anybody, these are just my opinions.

Firstly, people say, if you don't pray to God then bad things will happen to you. This implies that God is selfish, and only do good things to people who prays to him.

Secondly like in religion people say, only people who follows God will go to heaven, others are Kuffars or Daffars.. Now, God is purely righteous. Isn't he? Why would he discriminate? Why would he be partial? Why would he stop people from going to heaven just coz they dont pray to him?

and lastly, anywhere in the whole history of human kind, there has never been any proof of God, except for some Prophets and Avatars claiming to have met him.

There are so many concepts of God. Who is right? and most importantly, WHY? If Allah is right than non-muslims are damned. If Jesus is right, then non-chiristians are.

I can also start a new religion, by claiming someone extraordinary came in my dream with a message. Will people leave their earlier teachings and start believing me, even if it was the God who came in my dream?

It is quite possible that what we refer as GOD could be something we haven't yet imagined about.

But i strongly believe there has to be something out there which has created an almost balanced universe .

I wonder how beautifully he created man with eyes to see , ears to hear,etc etc..

it cant happen all in a sudden and be so perfect.

Well, I have my beliefs in all the points in you mentioned, but let me take this point now. I dont know about others but where in hindu scriptures, it is mentioned that you need to pray to get good things? NO where.

For Hindus Sreemat Bhagwad Gita is the holiest scripture right? What it says? Do your karma and forget about everything else. NO where it is mentioned to pray to god. In fact there are thousands of stories negating your point of view. If people want I will start narrating them. I for one never go to temples, but just thank HIM for anything good happens to me and thats just instantaneous, just close the eyes and say THANKS. and thats my prayer.

when all your wishes are over. But the wish for nirvana is also a wish. You need to be over it. No bondage no nothing. Not possible practically i say.

So if we go from your perspective, i.e. logically speaking: there is a designer of everything in this world. A car doesn't come into being just by itself. A power plant doesn't get built by itself, right? How do these things around us come into being?

brother you dont seem to be an Indian or a dharmic(one who practices an Indian religion) just look at indian religions how we co exist help each other and still differ in our thinking.
now aren't Buddhist religious people they don't believe in God.

If you go by the characteristics of prophets, then many in Islam believe Lord Krishna to be a prophet too amongst many other. As someone rightfully pointed out that there are 124,000 prophets over time but we only know of 24 through Quran.

adi have you ever heard of the sidhs perhaps you have not i once met two of them and you wont believe they were reading my forehead and i swear they were speaking the truth i swear they told me everything from the past every single truth and they told me of the future which is of course yet to come but from that time i have started to see this life more as a drama which has all the aspects everything predestined with God as director and i try to be a good audience and i really find life changed they live in the Himalyas.

My personal logic behind this is all depends on your deeds of the past and how you are that shapes up your journey and based on that those predictions are made generally. But at any point of time if you are able to twist the theory of karma as in the sense change the way of life it changes the destiny.
