HAPPY Nuclear Tests anniversary

yes, I believe every country had their own threat perception. we had the USSR, they had us, China had Russia and so on. But nobody else celebrates a "nuclear bomb" day!

You didn't get my point

I wasn't talking about threat perception.
No. I was talking about having an enemy 7 times larger than us...

.
John, you need to understand that it was a big day for Pakistan and Muslim countries that have been historically oppressed by the west. It pretty much just signifies that the playing field for the underdogs has been leveled. It's not really about celebrating a bomb that can kill tens of thousands of people. It's kind of like how we celebrate the Alamo down here, even though a significant population of Texans are of Mexican heritage.
Oh you mean like Tacos and tequila day - otherwise called cinqo de Mayo!! why didn't you say so?:lol:

Exactly! it's a perception - not necessarily reality. Indians I have talked to say they blew up nukes not to send a message to Pakistan, but to China!
Will China launch nukes at India? no!
Will India launch nukes at Pakistan? no!
Nukes at the and of the day are a unusable weapon. Why? because when one nuke missile flies, they ALL fly - in both directions. And no leader wants to be remembered as the numbskull who destroyed the sub-continent.
My two cents worth....

Some Indians said so it is.

Did I talked about being nuked ?

Had the USA been without nukes, do you think Russia would have stayed without attacking you ? Have a look at recent history. No nukes in Iraq, Iraq had been destroyed by no other than you. Story would have totally different had Iraqi pocessed the nukes.

It's not perception, but fact.
Pakistani nuke bring security against a 7 time larger country with whom there have been several direct wars

true but india will no longer invade Pakistan at time of crisis...india would have invaded pakistan 5* without fear of nukes since 1980s

example is 1971, a un provoked invasion..

it would have invaded GB in 2005 earth quake and sindh and Baluchistan recently and in 2002 if pak didnt had nukes

I had to Google GB to realize you meant Gilit and not Great Britain...but do you have any evidence that they would have invaded you during / aftermath of the 2005 earthquake? I mean there were American Chinooks delivering aid etc. right? I am sure they would have reported aggressive movements by the Indian Army. After all, we don't want to be in the middle of y'alls fight.
And I thought the province of Baluchistan faces Afghanistan. I don't know how you figure an Indian Invasion from there. There are allied troops all over that place.
I do know that nukes did not prevent a fur fight in Kargil, nor is it stopping active cross border shelling by both armies.

1. based upon history of invasion in 1971 and fact india shored up hlaf of its troops and was about to attack openly in 2002 but than decided not to once it became clear than pakistan has a delivery system for its nukes too
2. PM modi and his predecessor openly supported militants(their speeches are available on youtube), even openly today they support Baluchistan movements
3. several planes were leaked with goal to transact through cholistan desert right into Baluchistan..its less than 300 miles to dera bughti..several attempts were made to purchase gawadar from oman in 1950s..

see this, a terrorist in indian consulate talking about balochistan
than see this

in other they dont hide it what so ever ..

most of indians want them to liberate baluchistan

on their independence day speech Modi has time to talk about the freedom of Baluchistan..like WTF india has 200 lanugaues 16 movements and 1.3 billion peoples yet they have time tot alk about something that has nothing to do with them...

its equal to pakistan suddenly talking about american black movement in their independence speech

. .
OK. I have to read up some more on this
read about pak india independence..

india expansionist policy of 1950s how it took over surrounding smaller countries by force...

india has literally intervened /attacked every surrounding country Pakistan, Bangladesh, sikkim, nepal, srilanka, goa..
the list is big..

From what I have seen so far:
1. Goa was when they decided to boot the Portuguese out. The last stronghold of Colonialism.
2. Ceylon was at the invite of their Govt. to quell an insurgency. They gave it up as a bad joke and left.
But Sikkim and Nepal?
3. Bangladesh - well, OK. that is a pretty deep story. India took advantage of an opportunity and Pakistan could have handled that a lot better ( that could be a looong discussion right there - bound to upset a lot of folks)
