What's new

Happy 65th Independence Day India!

Do you know 15 august is observed as black day in kashmir

Well ......The majority people in J&K celebrate August 15 along with all other Indian states in full c.....

Every community will have some bad apples ........So no need to club actions of some foreign sponsored ba$tards with patriotic Jammu & kashmiri people ..............

A very pertinent Question i want to ask after 65 years British had left subcontinent is that:

ARE WE REALLY INDEPENDENT?

We as in Indians or Pakisyanis....what do you identify with?

Anyways how is it pertinent, do you somehow imagine we are ruled by a foreign entity?

politically and with regards to policy-- ----yes......

with regards to economy---well the whole world in intertwined here....but considering that we overcame economic sanctions after our nuke tests without much difficulty ---yes again

within our country.......till we can go to a state where
1) every Indian does not go to bed hungry 2) acheive gender, social strata equality-----no

Jana Gana Mana - Indian National Anthem (Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people)

Jana gaṇa mana adhināyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya vidhātā
Pañjāb Sindhu Gujarāṭa Marāṭhā
Drāviḍa Utkala Baṅga
Vindhya Himāchala Yamunā Gaṅgā
Uchhala jaladhi taraṅga
Tava śubha nāme jāge
Tava śubha āśhiṣa māge
Gāhe tava jaya gāthā
Jana gaṇa maṅgala dhāyaka jaya he
Bhārata bhāgya vidhāta
Jaya he, jaya he, jaya he
Jaya jaya jaya, jaya he.

Translated to English:
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Shindhu,
Gujarat and Maratha,
Of the Dravida and Orissa and Bangla;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindhyas and Himalayas,
mingles in the music of Yamuna and Ganges and is
chanted by the waves of the Indian Ocean.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise.
The saving of all people waits in thy hand,
Thou dispenser of India's destiny.
victory forever.

Vande Mataram - National Song of India (I bow to thee Motherland)

vande mātaram
sujalāṃ suphalāṃ
malayajaśītalām
śasya śyāmalāṃ
mātaram
vande mātaram

śubhra jyotsnā
pulakita yāminīm
phulla kusumita
drumadalaśobhinīm
suhāsinīṃ
sumadhura bhāṣiṇīm
sukhadāṃ varadāṃ
mātaram
vande mātaram

Translated to English:
I show gratitude to thee, Mother,
richly-watered, richly-fruited,
cool with the winds of the south,
dark with the crops of the harvests,
The Mother!

Her nights rejoicing in the glory of the moonlight,
her lands clothed beautifully with her trees in flowering bloom,
sweet of laughter, sweet of speech,
The Mother, giver of boons, giver of bliss.

Sare Jahan Se Achchha - A poem by Muhammad Iqbal

sāre jahāñ se acchā hindostāñ hamārā
ham bulbuleñ haiñ us kī vuh gulsitāñ hamārā

ġhurbat meñ hoñ agar ham, rahtā hai dil vat̤an meñ
samjho vuhīñ hameñ bhī dil ho jahāñ hamārā

parbat vuh sab se ūñchā, hamsāyah āsmāñ kā
vuh santarī hamārā, vuh pāsbāñ hamārā

godī meñ kheltī haiñ us kī hazāroñ nadiyāñ

hindī haiñ ham, vat̤an hai hindostāñ hamārā

yūnān-o-miṣr-o-rumā sab miṭ gaʾe jahāñ se
ab tak magar hai bāqī nām-o-nishāñ hamārā

kuchh bāt hai kih hastī miṭtī nahīñ hamārī
sadiyoñ rahā hai dushman daur-e zamāñ hamārā

iqbāl! koʾī maḥram apnā nahīñ jahāñ meñ
maʿlūm kyā kisī ko dard-e nihāñ hamārā!

English translation:
Better than the entire world, is our Hindustan,
We are its nightingales, and it (is) our garden abode

If we are in an alien place, the heart remains in the homeland,
Know us to be only there where our heart is.

That tallest mountain, that shade-sharer of the sky,
It (is) our sentry, it (is) our watchman

In its lap frolic those thousands of rivers,
Whose vitality makes our garden the envy of Paradise.

O the flowing waters of the Ganges, do you remember that day
When our caravan first disembarked on your waterfront?

Religion does not teach us to bear ill-will among ourselves
We are of Hind, our homeland is Hindustan.

In a world in which ancient Greece, Egypt, and Rome have all vanished without trace
Our own attributes (name and sign) live on today.

Such is our existence that it cannot be erased
Even though, for centuries, the cycle of time has been our enemy.

Iqbal! We have no confidant in this world
What does any one know of our hidden pain?

jaage hain ab saare
log tere dekh watan
gunje hai naro se ab ye zameen aur ye gagan
kal tak main tanha tha sune the sab raste
kal tak main tanha tha par ab hain saath mere
lakho dilo ki dhadkan dekh watan
Azaaadi payenge
Azaaadi layenge
Azaaadi chaayegi
Azaaadi aayegi aayegi

jaage hain ab saare
log tere dekh watan
gunje hai naro se ab ye zameen aur ye gagan
kal tak main tanha tha sune thhe sab raste
kal tak main tanha tha par ab hain saath mere
lakho dilo ki dhadkan dekh watan
hum chahe azadi
hum mange azadi
Azaaadi chaayegi
Azaaadi aayegi aayegi

“It is our duty to pay for our liberty with our own blood. The freedom that we shall win through our sacrifice and exertions, we shall be able to preserve with our own strength.”

Why we keep on celebrating Independence day sin 1947 when we never became free. All that happen in 1947 is that our rulers from white british changed to brown elits who are rooted in the west rather than in the indian soil.
