Handgun for weak person

I have a friend who is handicapped and bedridden. His arms are also not as strong as a normal person. He wants to have a light handgun for self protection. Can you friends suggest anything. He wants something light in weight and less recoil and easy to use.

any gun in 380 acp will be fine for him dont go lower than 380 acp

A .22 is the "logical" choice in caliber for a handgun, but if he's looking for self-protection a .22 is mostly impractical. A .38/9mm is probably going to be the best option without being too overpowering. There's also .32 but that's not as common and is only marginally better than a .22.

I usually browse a site called Genitron that has a handgun database which lets you sort by caliber and manufacturer and whatnot. It's US-centric, but it's a pretty decent database of handguns.

Load some .38 special cartridges into a small .357 magnum revolver.

Also teach him how to aim properly, there is no point in having a gun if you can't actually land bullets on a target.
