I said "homosexual behavior" for a reason, but it's still quite common, with such behavior being recorded up to 40% of deer population. If a buck has clean antlers, chances are he's gay. There is also a high rate of such behavior among dogs, and certain spiders. Another high rate species are horses.

Also, cannabalism, offspring killing, and mate killing are actually quite common among certain species. Example, among lions, a new leader of a pride will kill all the young in the pride. And among praying mantis, the female will generally kill and eat the male after insemination. Cannabalism is common among some species of spiders, where the large females will just eat a smaller male, unless she specifically gives permission to the male to approach her lair.

The fact is it is not common and animals are not gay or lesbo in the sense that human gays and lesbos say they are. Yes I am aware that those things are common amongst some animals my point was animals doing something does not mean humans being the apex of all animals should follow in suit.

It is not just a matter of letting people "do what they want". The following excerpt is particularly relevant:

I got no problems with gays so long as they keep their "you know what" to themselves. I have been around the world enough to learn to respect the fact that people like ice cream come in many colours and flavours.

It all depends on what level of PDA a society is comfortable with, as long as the law ensures equality, no matter whether straight or LGBT. The important point here, as I am sure you already know and agree with, as you mention, is equality in the eyes of the law. That is all.
