The much loved “Pyare Afzal” a.k.a Hamza Ali Abbasi is known not for only his acting skills but also remain in the spotlight for his comments over different situations and political personalities most of the time. Most of the times his comments give birth to an unstoppable debate over social media and this time again the actor has commented on Akshay Kumar’s “padman” being banned in the country and has stirred a fresh storm on social media.

Calling himself as a wannabe Mullah the star speaks up about the film being banned. “Padman” is a film based on a true story of an Indian man who invented sanitary napkins on a low cost in India to spread awareness about the unhygienic habits prevailing.

Previously Sanam Saeed and Armeena Rana Khan also took to their social media to speak about the ban imposed on the film.

A senior official from the film board stated that: “The decision to issue an NOC by the Ministry of Information Broadcasting National History and Literary Heritage is yet to be taken on the release of a foreign feature film PadMan, as it has not yet been previewed by the CBFC,” Mobashir tweeted. “The decision to grant the NOC to the subject film will be based on the merit and criteria of the CBFC, not vexatious, false and irresponsible political motives being created on various media platforms on the back of the film.”

According to a leading daily, “The decision to grant NOC to the subject film will be based on the merit and criteria of the CBFC, not vexatious, false and irresponsible political motives being created on various media platforms on the back of the film.”

How important is the release of the Indian films, 'Padmaavat' and 'PadMan' for our cinemas?

“It is advisable to maintain principles of integrity whilst making statements on any issues. Good values are the foundation upon which we will build a prosperous Pakistan, not upon a decision of releasing a solitary film."

Let's see where Padman's fate lies in Pakistan for now? Whether or not will we be enlightened with the film or not, time will tell.

We do need good access to sanitary products in the country as that clearly has the issue of health.

sanitary products are everywhere man ,and the local made products are way cheaper.

I find sanam saeeds tweets so ironic so she says,

"A man changed the lives of women across India, he made them aware of their unhygienic practices. He found a way to provide them with affordable sanitary napkins. But let’s not share that story because it has something to do with #MenstrualHygiene. Tobah"

So what has happened in india how it should affect pakistan? Does she know is that an issue in pakistan? Has she even read the entire story of that guy and what were the issues?

And if its an issue will people from those poor backgrounds be able to watch a 700 rs ticket film which will only fatten up indian producers wallets. Shes the same person who was dying to work in india and she was thanking karan johar on twitter just cause he "followed" her on twitter , what zero self respect. Apparently for pakistani actors its a huge honor to get followed by an indian producer and director. Plus she was going around bragging that iwas called in for raees audition though i could not give it. I mean how classy

And by releasing this film we will only give bucks to indians and get nothingin return. If indians are so sincere then should share that guys invented technology with pakistan so that our gov can assign this project to a specific department and provide funds to evaluate the project feasibility and thrn finally implement it.

To bag an indian role these actresses could go any lengths to support indian movies.

Generally no issue in movies which could create some awareness in public.

But

Indian movies must be completely banned in Pakistan for the distortion of history and facts.

Furthermore, they have banned ours as well.

Those who are dying to watch those Indian movies can look up in the internet for those. But say no to those in Pakistani cinemas. Enough with that bollywood shyt...!

.
Only in Pakistan(probably) where local celebrities promote foreign movies. Talk about sad state of affairs of local entertainment industry.

.
Although i advocate peace between two countries but if they have banned our movies and portray their frustrations by making such movues then we should be banning their videos too.

isko thoda bara kulhara pakra do

ye apni taang per khud maar lega

Bol TV ne sahi fassad phelaya hua hai Pakistan me...

.
Mullah shulla , the fact is the Padmavati gives a twisted account of Alluddin Khilji and it should be banned.

.
good move indeed . indian movies are usually unrealistic with fake bravado of a nation who had been slaves for centuries .

.
It’s not a case of desperation on releasing an Indian movie in Pakistan, it’s the comparison they’re trying to make, Indians movies are aired in Pakistan and movies such as ‘Padmatav’ which depicts a Just Muslim Emperor as a savage was running in cinemas all over, so are other movies which have item numbers. The point being made is a movie with a social cause and right one too is banned whereas others are played. In that aspect, it makes perfect sense and they’re right.

I honestly couldn't understand the fit over Padvamat either. Are we as Pakistani's 700 years later suddenly responsible for protecting the image and grace of some Persian ruler from the 13th century ? What Pakistani today would associate themselves with him ? The movie might be Muslims vs Hindus but its not India vs Pakistan for gods sake.

Khiljis were Pashtuns or Pashtuised Turks. They were important part of all Islamic empires arising from current day Afghanistan which shaped Islamic history of Pakistan to some extend too. Islamic history of India is Islamic history of many parts of current day Pakistan.
