Well mind of Indian Army chief is probably next gen that he think would compensate for half outdated equipment. But you cannot trust these news reports as they are to create vacuum to justify purchase of new hardware which India is purchasing like mads. After all India Public had to be told that why purchase of 50 billion dollars is justified and why the money is not available to feed the poor or help poorer at this time.

On the side notes, Kappora is 200times worse than Khisyani which means "meesna" and Kappoora means testicle. So most of us will be easy comofrtable if you keep using your extracting name and we use our interpretation of "Kapoor"

My friend... My brother ... It's not my intention to hurt anyone, I was just trying to explain one of our mate that dont mis-spelled the name intentionally ... Secondly Mr Kapoor and Mr Keyani both of them Honorable generals of their respective nations armies .Surely they deserved respect.. now the choice is yours either take my advice or leave it. But if someone keep contining his/ her arrogant atittude, believe me I will reports to MODS to take appropiate actions...

That being said, its not a piece of candy for us to call names of your leaders neither it is going to bake bread for you guys when you try to humiliate somebody from this side. But don't forget General Kapoor tried to intimidate us, offended us and undermind us beyond sensible levels. You cannot expect such person to be spared because its impolite to call his names. He actually asked for it and deserves those medels that he is receiving here in the forum and elsewhere.

I am not sure if we are purchasing aything like mads. Every nation has their own set agendas/aspirations about the role they want to perform at international level...Also if you complement it with current situation where we have two adversaries with one as big as China(rapidly advancing) most of these defence deals will sound very pragmatic than madness.....Secondly the argument is flawed when you attribute defense deals with non-availability of funds for poor...We are a democracy so i very well know that India's defense spending is not more than 3% of her GDP....In fact one of your biggest headache is that we are not able to use all the money allotted for defense spending(due to cumbersome process and beuracracy) and every year a significant chunk is returned back to ministry of defense...I have said multiple times that its not like funds from policy dedicated to poverty reforms are re-routed to fulfill defense needs but the gross corruption that don't let benefits of such schemes reach poor(apart from manu other grave reasons)...Still we have some very good schemes like NREGA which is helping masses to some extent....Also if you go by poverty figures we certainly have reduced it by around 5-10% in last decade which is quite an achievement though a hell lot more is yet to be done.....

Being a punjabi I am well aware of punjabi pun but prefer to use it at appropriate place.. As far as name calling is concerned one can take a call what is more important in a defense forum...Discussing the matter in hand or showing the skills in name calling....I choose former but you are free to choose what make more sense to you....
