In his most explosive interview, former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has pointed straight at the Inter-Services Intelligence for training Lashkar-e-Tayyeba and Jaish terrorists.

"Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) trains Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) and Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) terrorists," said Musharraf.

Speaking exclusively to India Today's Managing Editor Rahul Kanwal, Musharraf, referred to 26/11 mastermind and JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed as a Pakistan hero.

"Masood Azhar is a terrorist," said Musharraf.

Pakistan's former president was grilled by Rahul Kanwal, in an exclusive interview, on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in India.

Musharraf also blamed India for derailing the peace process.

"India derailed peace process every time and the country only wants to discuss terrorism," Musharraf said.

Speaking on David Coleman Headley, Musharraf said, " I don't believe anything that Headley had said... Pakistan intelligence should interrogate Headley."

Former Pakistan president also mentioned India should hand over 2007 Samjhauta Express accused to Pakistan.

He further blamed India for spreading terror in Pakistan.

"LeT not involved in terror in Pakistan. Indian Intelligence agency behind Pakistan attacks, had evidence against R&AW agents," Pervez said.

New Delhi, Feb 11:Former President of Pakistan Parvez Musharraf on Thursday made explosive revelations about Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and its notorious nexus with terror outfits like Lashkar-eTaiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). In an interview with India Today news channel, ex-army chief General Parvez Musharraf admitted that ISI trains LeT and JeM terrorist and encourages terrorism against India.

While Parvez Musharraf called JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar a ‘terrorist’, he termed Jama’at-ud-Da’wah (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed a ‘hero’. He said anyone who is fighting for Kashmir is a hero. When asked about his statement that Pakistan won’t let its soil to be used for terrorism, Parvez Musharraf alleged that India betrayed the neighbour country not taking forward the resolution on Kashmir issue. Talking about the derailemnt of foreign secretary level talks between India and Pakistan following Pathankot attack, Parvez Musharraf said that India only wants to talk about Mumbai and Pathankot attacks but ignore the issue of Kashmir. He also said that he doesn’t believe in the disclosure made by David Headley regarding ISI and Pakistan military’s role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

"Hero" is someone who you respect, admire, aspire to be. If Ex-COAS/ President Musharraf is right in saying that hafiz Saeed is a hero, it is quite unfortunate for our neighbors. But then again their country, their choice.

He has an issue with his back, a fractured vertebrae or something of similar sort.

The General is out of action and wants the fame and lights back on his now "retired" career. His hatred for Azhar bcz Azhar wanted him dead is already well known.. By the smae yardstick, Saeed should have been in that list too.. But Hafiz Saeed did nt try to kill Musharaff so he is a hero and Azhar became a villain..
