Author is an idiot and readers are ignorant, water desalination and a 300 MW power project at Gawadar are part of CPEC.
Really? Before calling him an idiot, did you even try and understand what he is saying? A water desalination plant has extremely limited capacity. Secondly it is expensive to operate and thus the cost of water per litre will be out of reach for the ordinary person to afford unless subsidized by the government.

The one desalination plant that exists in Gwardar, Kurwat, was intended to provide 2 million gallons of drinking water per day but it was only providing 0.3 million gallons per day during the 2015-2016 drought because of the high cost of operating the plant.

However, Ahsan Iqbal, Pakistan’s planning minister, announced two new dams — the Diamer-Bhasha Dam (in Gilgit Baltistan) and the Dasu Dam (in Khyber Pathunkwa) — would be built under the CPEC project at a total cost of $26 billion. How long that's going to take is anyone's guess!

Secondly, the 300 MW power project you mentioned, is not for providing water!! And for you info....

Govt set to shelve Gwadar Coal Project

The government is all set to shelve its initial plan for installing Gwadar Coal Power Project of 300 megawatt (MW) with estimated cost of $360 million from the list of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

I say you are still an idiot because you only post the link without reading the whole article. as far a water desalination plant only providing 0.3 million Gallon per day instead of 2 million gallon, you still proved yourself an idiot because you dont know the population of Gawadar which is 180,000, around 2 gallon of drinking water per person.
