The Vietnamese did not even the Gold Orchid bay to the America or Russia, why would they think that "NEGLIGIBLE India" can provide protection to Vietnam?
In China-Vietnam War, Vietnam and even the Soviet Union signed Treaty of Friend－ ship and Cooperation between the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam , But this is clearly not guarantee the security of Vietnam.
