First of all Talibans did not fight the Russians.. it was mujahideen..which included Northern alliance members too..

They are the people who defeated russians just their name is changed.

Secondly.. what according to u is control?? Do they have a gov placed in 80% Afghanistan..
Do they run hospitals for poor or any one in those areas?...do they run any municipal or similar departments in those areas..?
No..they bomb innocent civilians and soldiers/police.

In the previous post controlling means they are occupying 80% of afghanistan's territory by killing many civilians. They have their permanent bases there, they are guarding the borders of their area with their soldiers and U.S army cannot enter in their area.

if i consider that as a definition of control..then TTP controls whole of Pakistan..

Nops, TTP do not control whole pakistan they only control some areas in FATA and i have explained what does control means above!!!

Not really.. Unpublished news, but Gurkhas were the only force in the whole Kargil episode which was used on the Pakistani side of LOC when a single platoon was heli dropped in the path of retreating Pakistani/Insurgent force and killed 27 enemy soldiers in a hand to hand combat. The mission was hushed up to suppress the fact that Indian forces did cross the LOC.

I guess this Gurkha killed some innocent shepherd guy and trying to save his job and is trying to show that he killed a Taliban fighter in the battle. I guess he didn't even go to fight....

When Gurkha was deployed in Kargil why Pak regular from Light infantry started running back.

They are best regiment for mountain warfare try them.... don't worry you will very soon see them Trolling in your neighbourhood.
