All this your saying because some one has proclaimed that he chased "COWARD INDIANS" away.
Obviously he will have to lie about such brave and courage undet fire rambo stuff otherwise how would your army show themselves in good light after their loss in Kargil!

Like how Pakistan won 48,65,71,99 we will take this also in the same way:blah:

Capt Karnal Sher Khans body came frm delhi tht itself explains alot... he was martyred in the indian base camp! and indian coas himself asked PA COAS to reward him the highest gallantry award!

Abt Pakistan getting defeated... why doesnt india celebrate 48,62,85 and 99 ? along with the couragless action of 71? waiting for our approval?

Next 6th sepetember id like to see delhi to celebrate defence day instead of Islamabad.

If you seen the movie Lakshya, Amithab Bachan says a very famous dialogue. If possible try to hear it.

We don't celebrate others defeat or death. Period

1948- Most of the Kashmir valley was captured by Pakistan from the Maharaja of Kashmir.. After India got involved, Pakistan was pushed back from Srinagar airport and was stopped cold on most of the fronts..

1962 - Big blunder.. No excuse.. Got our a$$es whopped by China

1985 - Big victory-- Took away Siachen in a brilliant tactical maneuver. Poor Musharraf got spanked in an attempt to take it back

1999 - Kargil -- Beat back Pakistani army who came in the guise of terrorists from the peaks which they occupied when they were lying vacant.. Lead to the death of over 4000 Pakistani soldiers (more than so far in WOT), some of whom are still buried in India with full military honors.. More than the military defeat due to bad planning (not involving Air force), this started the slide of Pakistan's stand on Kashmir in the world opinion.. Big time exposure...

What else do you want to talk about?

btw, when was Captain Sher Khan awarded the Nishan-e-haider?? Was it immediately after the war or was it in 2009?? Since I see most of the articles about him in that year..

Wow, the guy literally decapitated a wackjob in a turban! I am so amazed! :woot:

No seriously, its all combat and military matters as usual. The Gurkas are indeed fine soldiers, but let's not overrate them.

Don't forget, the Afghan Mujahadeen kicked out one of the world's most powerful armies from their country. The psychological trauma after facing a powerful enemy with little resources, and desperation can be severe to a point of being suicidally aggressive.

The Taliban are a very dangerous enemy with whom even US Army Rangers and Navy Seals have a tough time against. So don't underestimate them.

So let's not cheer over this people.

After the kargil episode.. i cant find a date... but i found an article frm 2006 .. so clearly it was right after kargil.. and NLI was regularised as a part of PA as a reward for the services rendered.

Couldnt be, because till 2009, Pakistan's official stand had been that no Pakistani soldier had been involved in the Kargil war (though Musharraf did let the cat out of the bag in his memoirs in 2006).. Its only in 2009, that the names of Kargil martyrs were listed on the Pakistani army web site.. As a matter of fact the Indian officer who recommended him for nishan-e-haider was first told that since no Pakistani soldier was involved in the battle, there is no question of a gallantry award...
