Gullbut live captured with GUN to kill Papa Smurff

Yes and in station they return there weapon not carry with them

No, they dont return their weapon. All police officers are allowed to carry their firearms homes if they wish if there is a security situation. The same applies to military officers as well.

He was a frigging Policeman, kept telling them the same and they wouldn't listen! Anyway, he has lost his official arm and will be screwed now. Bhai kal report file karen gay aur phir inquiry shuru.
i thought the weapon was returned to him - only his Police ID card was confiscated ----

btw by law TuQ is in illegal possession of that firearm - so legally an FIR can be lodged against him - unless they should have handed over the weapon back to the Police station immediately ---

coming back to the scenario -- I have been to the rally today -- and as far as my experience tells me and the on ground situation -- that guy was on Surveillance duty with special branch - i mean intention was not wrong - he was on duty ---
the only point where PAT personnel are active and in number is the entry point to the main rally / abpara road --- and one will actually have to enter the rally / sit in to be stopped by the PAT people === so that guy must have entered the rally ---and he wouldn't be doing that if he was returning home :D

Dr. Qadri behaved professionally and ethically. He prevented the man from getting lynched by the mob. Respect to him.

No one should attempt to get close to crowd with firearms, IMO.
oh my love he was "THE LAW" --- not the other way around ---- he has more authority at the venue then anyone there

Sentiments of the crowd should be taken into consideration. If the police feels the need to approach the crowd, it should do so in uniform and in groups to prevent suspicion. Potential threats to life of Dr. Qadri cannot be taken lightly.

By the way, how big is the crowd? Did you see the vehicles parked?

ATS / ATF guys carry the weapon when going off duty and enroute home or enroute the workplace - I have witnessed almost every ATS guy carrying one off duty ---
I wish @RescueRanger uncle was here he would have clarified you further - and back me up here

are you serious my dear?? you do realize that even in foreign countries - they have private security personnel in plain clothes at the venues to keep an eye out - the guy was not waiving the gun and even if he was, he completely identified himself as police -- case close -- he was write TuQ was wrong and if he still has that weapon - he is still in illegal possession

.
He even showed his official card, and after that Qadri did some hanky panky and let him go.
Haven't model town happened yet?
Noora brothers will do everything to kill TUQ, cause they know , Thier lives are in his hands now?

Brother, I am not trying to justify TuQ in this matter. I do appreciate how Dr. Qadri handled this matter.

However, I do believe that a strategy should be devised between TuQ and police on how to conduct security within the crowd to prevent these kind of developments again. Let us not forget that this is emotionally charged crowd and it haven't gathered for picnic.

Also, any comments on size of crowd and convoys?

well you are, he handled it well and allowed him to walk free but he should not have taken the weapon ----

crowd of tuq is determined and committed, these guyys are used to of Ijtemas and living under harch condition - so they will sit as long as tuq is willing to sit ---- i put the number at 20k, but it was dispersed---
15k is the number of ptians but this was 2:00pm -- thats when i was there

.
Which genius sent in a plain-clothe with his service weapon alone in the middle of thousands of people?!

I don't think that TuQ would keep the weapon, likely hand it over to police.

Well, it is not possible to determine the count of people. Nobody will bother. Crowd strength massively fluctuates due to various factors and significantly increases when leaders arrive and address the masses.

However, thanks for input.

he had 3 other guys with him ---

And what happened to them? I guess they were over-powered.....

Point is how mentally challenged a person has to be to set such a dangerous and utterly useless Modus Operandi....like seriously what were they expecting? The cop is gonna pull out his badge and the crowd will be like "yes sir Mr. Officer".....

Risking those policemen this way...not smart.

One more thing which should have been taken into account is that neither our police force is professional nor the common folks are civilized.
