Growing Mumbai - The city of Dreams

Why can't you have properly paved roads even in downtown? It's pathetic.

@Bombaywalla - really nice pictures! Would you know whether the entire coastal road is being built on reclaimed land? I was wondering where the are going to find so much land in a congested area?

The stretch from Marine Drive to Napean Sea Road will be via an in-shore tunnel along Marine Drive and under Malabar Hill. The remainder of the coastal freeway will be constructed using a combination of sea bridges and carriageways on reclaimed land. I read somewhere that a lot of the material that's required for reclamation will be sourced from tunnel excavation works by Mumbai Metro line 3 as well as the Marine Drive tunnel.

Have a look at this...

Why I like Bombay or other Indian cities is because they are not monotonous. You will find buildings and houses with numerous designs which includes footprints from ancient Indian architect, Vastu shastra based architect, french, British, Rajashthani rajput era designs, Singapore style construction and what not!!!!!!! You will find any design you can imagine.
