What anti- India elements? No BD government has ever officially supported any of the separatist movements in India.

The peoples of the NE and Kashmir have every right to break away from India if that is what they want and BD population would always support that as a matter of principle. There can be no greater right of a nation than that of self-determination. India should realise that it cannot forever keep people caged into a forced Union. This is true story I know many people like this. They had to leave their house in India. And they are a citizen of BD now.

Im sorry the extent of your research is google! Dude the thread is all about the IMF stat on BDs GDP at current prices and yearly predictions to 2019. Just click on the link.

BD has been growing at a steady pace for the past decades and its expected to rapidly accelerate as it starts to industrialise, and people move from rural areas to urban areas.

More importantly as the GDP grows so will the overall defence budget. The problem historically was that we only spent 1.2% to 1.6% of our GDP on defence, yet we had a standing army of over 200,000. So when the economy was below $140bn the defence budget was under $2.2bn, not enough to buy proper heavy equipment but just light defensive stuff and salaries.

Now that the economy is growing rapidly, in the next 5 years our defence budget will exceed $6bn almost triple current. What this will mean well be able to afford greater offensive equipment like tanks, frigates, subs, and fighters.

Economically stronger BD is welcome for all Indians, as poor BD will be disaster for India because of illegal immigration. India now can strongly ask BD to take back the illegal muslim immigrants as now BD economy is
growing.
Although in my view when an anti Indian BD govt. takes administration in Dhaka and accommodates more jihadi/ISI elements India Govt. can then take stronger actions to push back illegal muslim immigrants.

anyway question is what the role of Bangladeshi Military in BD politics is it of same assertive nature as in Pakistan and has same kind of islamist ideology?
or the armed forces strictly adhere to democratically elected leaders?
I know current BD govt. is rather rational and pro growth but I have read that the opposition is of islamist and anti india ideology.
In case the same govt. continues we can see India cooperating with BD on many joint economic projects which will benefit both nations also the conflicts will be rather minimal, easy access to BD products in Indian market on level playing field will help BD to move up more on growth ladder.
But in case of islamist and anti india govt./military the relations will be degraded and we can see this impacting economy of BD also.
