Greek soldiers fire warning shots at migrants near Evros

George Bush created this crisis when his administration decided to invade Iraq. Obama added fuel to the flames by supporting the Arab spring. If US had spared middle east from some of its leadership, then Europe (and world at large) would not be facing this problem.

US is definitely at fault but what about Iran and Russia. If Assad survives, its due to them mainly. Ideally, no one should have intruded, just let the Syrians fight against Assad, but everyone - Turkey, GCC coalition, US, Iran, Russia all influenced the war by supplying weapons to one or the other side.

It's a video....

You quoting this Trumpist?

Sorry? How about not hurting them or dangling them over smoke so they'll cry for the cameras?

Why is the smoke even there? What kind of barbarians attack refugees?

I don't understand why Slavs, Greeks, and others care if refugees go to Western Europe?

Let them go, those countries deserve it for their interference in the Middle East.

First of all, it's their own camp fires, secondly they're upholding the LAW..NO ONE should be able to enter a sovereign territory ILLEGALLY

Saddad and the Iraqi Baath party repressed the majority of Iraqis.
Does not matter the pretext. Saddam was evil, and evil men does not deserve better.
The US gave Iraq a blank sheet. Iraqis screwed it up royally.
More evil men, both on the Sunni and Shia side killed millions of Iraqis.

Assad and the Bath party created the situation which made Syrians want to join the Arab Spring movement. Assad and his thugs refusal to abolish their dictatorial manners created the crisis.
When the situation grew, KSA and Gulf State started to finance the opposition and Iran supported the Syrian illegal Government. The US contribution was minimal under Obama.

Please give credit where credit is due.

This is real life and the neighborhood in which we live in.

If European countries want to stop the stream of refugees, then they should work with Turkey to stop the violence, bring a representative government in Syria, and help relocate Syrians back to their country.

However that cannot happen as long as EU countries like France and Germany support PKK terrorists, send fighters/crusaders to Assad and Haftar, and if they antagonize Turks in Syria and Libya.

Today almost every Iraqi would give up all the carnage they have now to go back to those peaceful, prosperous days. Saddam was much better, even for Shias than the modern government of Iraq.

'I toppled Saddam’s statue, now I want him back'

Longing for the ”peaceful” 10 year long war with Iraq?
or maybe the months long occupation of Quwait?

At the time of the invasion, Iraq was bankrupt, with $125B in dept, mostly because of the war with Iran.

Now GDP is much higher and unemployment rates are going down.
The only reason for the situation to be bad are the evil Sunnis and Shias that want to grab power without respect for people not sharing their fanatism.
Another Dictator, inspired by Stalin is certainly not the answer to Iraqi problems.

You seem to believe in the battle between good vs evil. Politics and humanity are not so black and white. Saddam may have been evil for the Iraqis, but he was a bulwark against chaos for the rest of the world. If you have not realized this already, please consider that all societies are not equally civilized. The white western world has graduated from chaos into acceptable harmony. The rest of the world is still trying to catch up and require space and time to figure this out. Intervention from higher powers will just upset the balance. Think of prime directive from Star Trek. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prime_Directive

Assad is Syria's version of Saddam. Toppling the tyrant will simply create a rat race for the next tyrant. Russia and Iran are simply helping their tyrant like they have always done. Without pretending to be altruistic, the rest of the world can let the middle east sort their own mess.
