The German Foreign Ministry asked immediately for permission and it was given by Turkish authorities.
What is your problem ?
What would have you done , if the crew had been better prepared and Hamburg.Edu had asked for permission in advance ? Would you have made this soap opera and Drama for attraction gathering ?

Hi Nick, here is a very important link. Turkey is member of the IHO .
They never harrased a ship. But there are rules.
You can scan 15 years activities back even from Russian Ships.
I guess, there was something wrong this time with METEOR.
It made research before in Turkish waters.
