Greater China Education, School & University: News & Discussions

Universities in US are run like corporates ,I dont think asian universities should get into this ranking rat race. Universities in asia are more accessible to public rather than being elitist gangs in US.
I agree that Asian universities should keep put of American nonsense like the Ivy league elitism

Thats a good initiative. There should be a exchange programme within the participating 15 universities of 14 countries.

The Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai,

United Arab Emirates University,

You guys probably misunderstood this.......

The Schwarzman Scholars is a scholarship (basically a paid postgraduate studies) more akin on Rhode Scholarships (by Cecil John Rhodes) and Marshall Scholarship (awarded by George C Marshall), it is not an alliance of studies like Ivy League in the US or Top 5 in the UK.

Schwarzman Scholars is founded by Stephen A Schwarzman, and this will finance a student to a Postgraduate Degree in Tsinghua University. Just like Rhode Scholar which will get a free study to Oxford University. The board for Schwarzman will award the scholarship to the student, not Tsinghua and Tsinghua will in term receive financial benefit from Schwarzman's group. Schwarzman Scholarships is in direct competition on Yenching Program, which was offered and funded by Yenching College in Peking University.

University Alliance is basically a group of university that have the same selection system and in Ivy League Case, same athletic background. Which is different than the scholarship system...
