Govt to authorise FBR to raid homes of suspects

All agencies are integrated if one is taking bribe other knows unless all of them are corrupt then we have no choice to accept this is our people deserve.. like our cricket team we have wonderful players sitting home but we took who experienced like shoaib and (mitho) hafeez talent like shaheen and inzi nephew imam enough reason to lose.

What's the fuss about?

Such raids happen all over the world. If you don't pay your council tax in UK, the court bailiffs raid your property and take your car or house stuff etc and auction it to recover the debt.

UK police confiscate if you are carrying £1000 cash ... And you have to provide bank statements / proof of source to get it back.

FBR raid should be signed off by chairman FBR or they should form Tax Courts and the judge from that court signs the search warrants. Any Tom dick or Harry FBR agent should never be allowed to raid a property without such warrants.

There's a great story about Mario Balotelli. He got pulled over by the police and he had £5000 cash on him. The police asked him why he had that sort of money and he replied "because I am rich".

Dude there is corruption but its only for corrupt, there is a court system in Pakistan. Do you think FBR now harasses ordinary people, do police knock at your door and ask for bribe, bribes are taken from those doing illegal things. Do you really think FBR will get up and start raiding people's houses for no reason. You do not carry proper papers for your motor cycle and then police stops you and ask for bribe then you complain how about carrying all the paper work.

I would tell you about a raid after Imran khan govt came into power, I think in December.
My friend's mamoo who is a very respectable beauracrait, he lived in lush house in eme dha society with 2 House on the their right side also belonging to their sons... Their Palace type house can be seen at the eme society main gait as the first white House on the left side is theirs..
He was just like another rich guy .
But when their house was raided, about 15 carore worth of cash and 2 carore with of prize bond about 4 carore worth of gold was found stashed under beds and lockers and they cannot justify it either can they justify 3 houses on dha worth of 4 canals each recently made worth 6 to 8 carore each, neither can he justify countless dha plots and properties in Islamabad in the name of his wife .
And this most respectable person pay a very small amount of tax.. And no body knows why is he almost worth 2 billion rupees or more .while he belongs to a very poor family and his own income as a beauracrait is not enough to support these funds.
If you don't want to change then support these guys but if you do they you have to Pass through this tough process of accountability.

Please refrain from saying something that you heard from someone unless this has happened to you this will be a rumor. Also Allah will not "nazil" at once people who will pay their due share and FBR that will be honest. What we call western system was not created in one day, you should read the history about how corrupt and how cruel their system was say 100 years ago or even 50 years ago.

There has to be a certain allowance p/family for money/gold held...

In regards to businesses we can’t just suddenly say We’v gotto ape the UK or the west in paying tax. We are a developing nation so we need to find a halfway house

Good... FBR needs more powers. In Canada if the CRA suspects that you are doing some wrong doing and get a notice of audit then you have to lay bare your entire life otherwise be ready for house raids and accounts freeze.
