This is what happens when tall claims meet immutable reality, that is all.

The important thing would be how the government uses any rescue package, by IMF, or someone else, to lay the foundations for future economic progress. Or not.

Karachi: Urea manufacturers have raised prices by around Rs130 per bag in an attempt to pass the impact of gas price hike on to consumers despite government assurances that the state will pay subsidy to them.

According to Pak-Kuwait Investment Company AVP Research Adnan Sami Sheikh, the manufacturers have raised urea prices by Rs130 per 50kg bag following the increase in natural gas prices by the government.

According to Pak-Kuwait Investment Company AVP Research Adnan Sami Sheikh, the manufacturers have raised urea prices by Rs130 per 50kg bag following the increase in natural gas prices by the government.

These measures are bound to be taken. Fact remains that PTI inherited an economic graveyard. Nothing that anyone says can change these facts.

You need to be prepared for tougher measures. This is only the beginning. The people of Pakistan voted for crooks. The crooks abused the economy for personal gain. Decades worth of pillaging cannot be fixed in a matter of weeks, months and even years. This is a long haul thing. Pakistanis will have to embrace their fate. When people make bad choices they are also responsible for their choices. There is no way round it.

The good news is that for once we might have a leader who could change the fortunes of the nation. There is a major difference between PTI and PML-N/PPP taking loans. One takes loans with the noble intention to rescue the depleting reserves. Others take loans to in-debt the nation and for self-enrichment. We will have to wait and see whether the good intentions lead to good results.

Rupee has fallen by 25% and gas increased by 3x what did we expect....print notes like PMLN did...disgraceful monetary policy that has never happened before

Last year i said LNG electric plants was smart as oil isnt going up due to shale revolution who knew that trump happened ..now its going to bite PTI

Punjab will only be hurting itself. To think that PML-N/PPP are here to serve the nation equals to hiding your head like an ostrich. I have heard the cries of the people of Punjab. They have the same problems as the rest of Pakistan. It isn't Imran Khan or PTI who gave the people these problems.

Remember that this is not PTI's making. PTI will only be conducting an intensive care surgery for the next five years. The economy of Pakistan is in the IC unit and that is the bitter truth. Whether people like it or not is up to them.

How Mr. Umar seeks his rescue funds is not as important as what he will do with them, as I said before. It will be a long long walk through an arid desert to the welfare state of Medina promised by the Great Leader, that is for sure. Other bombastic claims will fall similarly.

Asad Umar seems to be in favor of an IMF bailout package. The Americans seem quite favorable of Asad Umar. I don't like it. Our economy will become hostage once again. Imran Khan needs to look into this and avoid IMF at all cost.

Sit down with China and others. Exhaust all options at disposal. Going to IMF won't solve anything. It will worsen the economy. We can and should take measures for austerity. Tough steps should be taken to improve the economic situation. We don't require an IMF bailout package for that.

Going with IMF means there are strings attached. This will result in you guys losing some economic sovereignty.
That's wat SK experienced in the 90s and Hungary recently paid back loans and vow never to use the Rothschild controlled IMF ever.

This should be addressed to Asad Umar, he said that gas rates increase will not affect power sector + kisan hamarey Dil meyn rehtay hain, we are giving x billion rupees subsidy.

Rupee depreciation, gas/ electricity increase etc., are all the dirty work he is doing for IMF.

I think Asad Umar, so far, has proven to be just another wazeer e khazana ---- it's better if he keeps his mouth shut while doing the traditional dirty job of serving IMF's agenda.
