There will no end to it. India is presently 12 times your GDP. You should stop matching with India and start thinking in terms of development. Your developmental budget allocation is 650 billion rupees which is about half your defence budget. How are you to grow with such meager developmental budget?

So much for army foregoing a raise last year. They took it anyways. Lol.

It's very hard to understand, how military could spend over its allocation from last year, when their revenue target was missed by a long shot. Revenue target was 5.1 trillion but collected only 3.9 trillion resulting in massive budget deficit. Even in that, military got not only its allocation but a raise. Kudos, well done.

ISI budget needs to be increased with a clear mandate to do what needs to be done. ISI gloves need to come off if we are to achieve anything. Army's budget should be the lowest. Navy along with Airforce needs to be given priority along with ISI and strategic weapons program. Army role is minimized in any modern war scenario, it will be airforce and the navy that will face a massive challenge.

What a sad, sad state of affairs.

The economy is down the drain, there is no sign of recovery and neither is there any sign of a miracle. 4 Billion for education to cater to ~50 million Pakistani children and 20 Billion for Health to cater for 220 million Pakistanis who need this now as opposed to 1300 Billion for the Military which 'might' be needed some day to defend those very Pakistanis who have been left illiterate and without medical care.

The ******* Indian Government and hate mongers too are to be blamed for this, why couldn't they live in peace. Is it not better to just get protection from the US/China and slash the military budget by 50% or more?

Although I do not agree with the part our Military has played in the affairs of the country, and the politics, I think it is unfair to blame them entirely for the fall of Dhaka..........our whole nation, especially the politicians, played a major role in that.

HEC budget is 64 billion last it was 56 billion. after 18th amendment education is provincial subject. u should check province budget which was total 947 billion last year..

However, I am sure that even the combined provincial and federal budgets for education and health would be dwarfed by the enormous defense budget.

Health is under provincial governments. Only Islamabads schools and hospitals are under federal government. Punjab governments last years education budget was 384 billion rupees. Search last year's health and education budgets of all provinces
