ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Tuesday issued order to deport United States spy Matthew Barret, who was arrested on suspicion of spying and was blacklisted from Pakistan few years back, ARY News reported.

Sources confirmed that the interior ministry had issued order to deport Barret from Pakistan. He will go back to his country safely after a few days.

Few years back, the US spy tried to enter a sensitive area on which he was deported. However, he managed to get Pakistani visa few weeks ago and reached Pakistan. He was arrested at Islamabad airport.

Sources said the government was under pressure to release the spy which led the interior ministry to order release of the US spy.

A few days before reports were received that the government was mulling to free Barret, however it has finally been decided to release him.

Why deport him ? Why not try him in Pakistani Court like people here wanted ?

Obtained through a bribe by a corrupt embassy worker in the US.

May be he bribed someone in US but how can he be charged here in Pakistan for that crime? He was an unwanted person, who entered Pakistan holding valid visa maximum we could do is deport him back ............... and that is what we did.

It is a good thing we did that then. Who wants a spy roaming around a nuke facility in his or her country? I don't.

Hmmm.. So all that hullabaloo for trying him and hanging him was as usual for nothing. Was expected anyway going by Pakistan's history.

Why you had to post that when we both know our countries can't do anything against western powers?

Chalo, you have at least accepted that Pakistan can't do anything against Western powers. Should be a lesson for all Pakistanis.
