Gorkha Regiment Among Worlds best elite military units

Is it the best you can come up with ? , British did not keep them for their "bravery" but of their "seduced nature" and "yes sir" behavior.

You do not know anything about this. They are famous all over the world for their bravery. Even the TIME magazine put them at number 3 position. Gurkhas and Sikhs are the best warriors ever on earth.

Just wondering if Gurkhas were used to keep India in control by Brits , how many Indians would have been killed by Gurkhas?
Not only Gurkhas but all people of India was in British army.

Then what do you call Australia? A constitual monarchy still under the queen .. Slave nation??

Australia is not the topic here , cant you just understand the most simplest fact . Why are you dragging it all over to Australia when we ain't discussing Australian issues ?

Just for comparison on the "term'. We need an other example for comparing in a debate. Simple.

what make these north east Indians soo good and one of the best military units in the world?

They dont get training like Navy seals or Marcos etc. Maybe cause they are brave ?

The simple reason that we learn to live with minimal resources, have a harsh terrain and a regular uncertainty of an invasion from the Dragon (until now). The food, climate and terrain itself is so harsh that it makes most of us rugged enough to tackle any situation. And since we live in one of the most hostile terrains on earth, handling most tough terrains is not an issue for us.

Every section of Indian society has brave warriors. The Rajputs of desert Rajasthan, the Marathas of Southwestern plans, the Sikhs of northwestern Punjab, the Nairs of coastal plans etc also possess equally skilled and brave warriors. :)

This is rubbish , you keep telling a kid well done you are really smart , well done you are the smartest guy on the planet , he eventually will start believing it ! - Its just random brainwashing of men by a master in order to make them believe that they are invincible !

Spartans , Romans , Alexander's army , Mongolians , Assasins of hassn al sabah , German Waffen SS ! they are some of the "so called brave" men - but the fact is that they are brainwashed and no one looks at them when they take the toll.

E
ven the TIME magazine put them at number 3 position.

Time magazine put "The Rain" (Korean singer) as "the most influential man on earth 2011" -- makes sense ?

Gurkhas and Sikhs are the best warriors ever on earth.

Not only Gurkhas but all people of India was in British army.

Well i am just talking of Gurkhas and you have nothing to say about their role in the suppression of India by British colonials !

Are your out of your mind or something ? - i haven't been talking about Nepalese as Gurkhas do not represent the Nepelease population as not many if any were loyal to the British empire !

Along with the Gurkhas, the Pakistani Punjabis and Balochis were the most 'loyal' to the Queen.

Infact the recipient of the First Victoria Cross was a Balochi, Khudad Khan.

Gurkhas were paid thugs with Nepalese origin which chose to stay with the British colonials for the sake of financial gains thats why i called a master and slave relationship.

Can we say the same for the ex-Faujis and Balochis who are being recruited by the Gulf states, mostly Bahrain to crack down on their population ?

In this equation you can also include sikh regiments which fought in France for British against Nazis for what ? , what interests of their own if any could those men have with "defending french" - in my mind it was just "ultimate seduction" to a colonial power !

Anf the Punjabi regiment and the Balochi regiment. Only the Tribal Area Pathans and Bengalis were not trusted enough.

Almost a century ago someone took over your country and literally "raped it" you tell me how one can be loyal to the invaders and his own country at the same time ?

Lol at "your country".

Was Pakistan part of Mars then ?

Nepal was never part of the British empire. No invaders, no colonization.

How difficult is it for you to understand?

Mr Einstein i was referring to the Siks who were made to fight against the Germans by their masters the British ! in that particular post !!

Not quiet Muslims started Jallianwala Bagh !

I have explained it already in reply to spark's post .

Infact they had something called "ghairat" and hadn't sale their souls to their masters.

Lol at "your country".

Was Pakistan part of Mars then ?

I was referring to undivided India metaphorically .

At that time India was under British rule and Sikhs, Gurkhas proved all over the world tat they are the best warriors. Now in Indian Amry they are proving themselves. They have various tales and history of bravery.

Almost a century ago someone took over your country and literally "raped it" you tell me how one can be loyal to the invaders and his own country at the same time ?

They 'raped' you country as well and the people was part of them. We are not talking for whom they were fighting but how they were fighting.

You will not understand this because you do not know what is called bravery. During 1971 war of 120 Indian soldiers stopped 2800 Pakistani soldiers with tanks and APCs. This is called bravery. Learn.

Now you're just changing goal posts

The Punjabi Muslims were instrumental in suppressing the revolt of 1857.

The Muslim league itself didn't support the Quit India movement. They were complete lapdogs of the British

The Sikhs were not fighting out of ignorance. They were not fighting blind. They knew who and what they were fighting for. Sikhs are a feircly loyal people. They were fighting for India But they were also fighting for Britain, the people of Britain who were being slaughtered. They were the last professional army the allies could call in. You're saying that because they fought with Britain against the axis that they shouldn't have done it? They were only following orders? Are you saying the Nazis should have been left to do what they wanted? You should do some research pal, many Sikhs knew exactly who they were fighting and why, they were fighting to uphold the values they held dear. They were doing what their ancestors had done for Hindus, protecting them form forced conversions at the tip of the Moghul sword. Protecting the weak in times of need, that is what the Sikhs did and will always do. It is in the Guru Granth Sahib, it is their duty.

Not quiet Muslims started Jallianwala Bagh !

And an Hindu started 1857 Mutiny a while the Punjabis , mostly from present day Pakistan, suppressed it and another Hindu started the rebellion even before that down South. So your point being ?

Also the Jallianwala Bagh was started by BOTH Hindus and Muslims together on Ram Navami day, the leaders being Dr.Satyapal and Dr.Saifuddin.

I have explained it already in reply to spark's post .

No you have not. Let me explain why.

You explained for the Pak Army regiments that are in KSA under some agreements. No one questions that.

I specifically questioned the private recruitment of Balochis and other ex-Faujis by the King of Bahrain for safeguarding his power. That is the true definition of Mercenary, if you want one.

Infact they had something called "ghairat" and hadn't sale their souls to their masters.

How the Punjabi regiment (mostly Muslims from present day Pakistan) and the soldiers in Balochi regiment had Ghairat when the Gurkhas did not have ?

I was referring to undivided India metaphorically .

The correct word to be used was "WE" or "Our country". Not "Your" country.
